Kyprio's proposal for Leafs to acquire Chychryn seems like a bit much for a guy who gets injured just as much as Muzzin. Coyotes will want Sandin for sure, maybe 2 first rounders, and Kerfoot. I don't like (2) first rounders. One perhaps, but not two, on top of everything else. Think you're right, nothing will happen until teams see him play for 15 games, then decide what to do. By that time, Leafs will have a better idea where things lie with Muzzin.
the vladar extension confuses me a bit. he's certainly worth the contract, but the flames have dustin wolf in the AHL, who seems NHL ready now, and looks to be the goalie of the future. he was the AHL's best goalie last year. it makes me wonder what the plan is going forward.
though as a habs fan, i'd certainly be interested in sending the flames a package including primeau and a pick for wolf. not a 1st, of course.

Keefe spoke the truth. The media can spin it anyway they like, but it doesn't change the truth. Matthews, Tavares, Marner all making over $10M. No one on Arizona making that money. Even Rielly is making more than Keller. $$$ is objective proof of eliteness unless a player is #1 or #2 overall pick who is not getting paid yet, but then they are not playing elite hockey yet. I find the media to be far from elite in most cases. Overblown, get over it! Is Toronto a bit too top heavy? Probably, but it's the only team Keefe has to work with, so there are obvious expectations of his top players. Elite players don't get paid elitely to be mentally fragile and thin skinned. Keefe has every right to expect them to play elitely. Philly, now there is an "elite" team with manager that knows how to handle the media. Go Torts!! 😉
What happens to the salary cap when a team like let's say Montreal drops a player in the minors. Like when they had Karl Alzner go down?
