I could see the Rangers pulling off this move and possibly using Arizona to launder salary. But with that being said there will probably be conditional assets depending on if Kane were to resign. He is from New York, wants to win, and it would reunite him with the bread man 🍞 it’s a very good fit
Edmonton is already top heavy. I’d rather they get a top 20 d man at like 3.5-4 and get rid of maybe puljijarvi and Barrie to free up the cap space
The part about this theoretical 3-way deal that I can't comprehend is why would Arizona AND Chicago be willing to move mountains to ensure that another random team in the league gets their franchise player for a 75% discount? Unless Arizona and Chicago are getting 1sts, 2nds, and high tier prospects, this makes no sense in my head. Maybe I'm being daft, but I don't see a rational reason to help another team like EDM.
By a boatload of compensation for the hawks you mean a pack of gum and maybe a 1st rounder thats a low rounder and some no name prospect? I have no faith in the management after being fleeced in the Debrincat trade.

I think Kane has yet to decide whether he wants to go as he has a no trade clause. It would make more sense to me to trade him at the trade deadline. Less cap hit and higher asking price. He would likely be a trade and sign. If he wants to of course. Not sure why Edmonton thinks the y have an edge in a trade scenario.
This trade needs to happen right away or get axed.

If I'm Arizona, I want a lot more than what you suggest. Edmonton, you want Kane that badly? Give us a first round draft pick! Kane is probably a Hall of Famer. Favors cost assets.
The loser of such a trade would be whoever ends up with Pulijujarvi. Edmonton's window of opportunity isn't closing that quickly but there is some urgency to win – not sure that Patrick Kane is the solution unless the third and fourth lines really step up.
Obviously adding playoff beast Patrick Kane is always a good idea, but I feel like the Oilers should be more concerned with shoring up the back end.
