  1. I appreciate the flow and impromptu story sharing moments. You guys got'em for sure! Thank you!!

  2. Another great show guys! My encounter with sport greatness, having not spent hardly any time near Pittsburgh, although a life-long fan, was a different "Mr. Green", Darrel Green, legendary cornerback for the Redskins. This man was one of those greats on the field and off the field. One of the fastest men in the game, and most authentic men of faith in the league. 2 SB rings, 7 Pro Bowls, NFL MOTY, Bart Star award, NFL 100 all-time team and 19 seasons with at least one interception in each season (a current NFL record)! This Mr. Green, was just as gracious as you could imagine. It was at an event in DC, and I was fortunate to be there on the job when he came of stage. We only spoke for a couple of minutes, as I respect that people like this are often busier than we can imagine.

  3. I saw Kevin Stevens and 3 of the Penguins at a movie theater in the during the 1992 (I believe) Stanley cup run. If my memory is correct we were down 3 games to 1 in one of the rounds. The biggest thought I had from this meeting was how large and muscular that Kevin was. I have no idea what we said but I was so nervous. I also saw Mike Ditka at Chicago O'Hare airport. I waved but was too nervous to say anything. And my final star struck moment is when I received communion at my church from Bob Pompeani.

  4. 8:38 I guessed correctly before Ramon said the answer. 🙂 I think being born in the early 70s made it easier for me to guess since I was able to see him while he played.

  5. I’ve met quite a few famous athletes and musicians. The two that stand out in my mind were Rod Carew and Ice Cube. Both were extremely accommodating and genuine. Great episode guys!

  6. Would people be so upset watching THE DARK KNIGHT RISES if it was Acrisure Stadium that got blown up in the movie??? Heh-heh-heh. 🦇

  7. Met the whole Heat team at Hurlburt Field. Talked a little with Pat Riley and got a pic with him 🙂

  8. I was 9 years old in 1978 and my dad worked for Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) and they gave him passes to Anaheim Park to see the Steelers practice for the Rams Superbowl. We got a picture of Franco Harris holding my baby sister. My Dad shook Bradshaws hand. We got autographs from Swan, mean Joe, Jack Ham, Rocky Blair and so many more. I'm 54 years old now and have been a Steelers fan ever since.

  9. Got Muhammad Ali autograph 1983 in Bahamas while he was training for a fight…and Dale Earnhardt at a Chevy dealership in Tampa before 1994 Pepsi 400. Both were friendly. Not stuck up.

  10. Sorry, ‘Mon. But that was The Dark Knight Returns. The late Heath Ledger was in The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight Returns, the one filmed in Pittsburgh, was the one with Tom Hardy.

  11. I met Franko Harris and his family at the Pizza Hut on Banksville Road in 1981 when I was a student at Pitt.

  12. When DK started talking about being star struck and said his last name was Greene I thought really? He was star struck by Kevin Greene lol…And I continued thinking that for about 4 or 5 seconds until my brain caught up and I realized he was talking about Mean Joe. 🤣🤣🤣

  13. HEY MON! Why doesn't Canada implement a fullback in more packages? Doesn't that give an OC more creative ability; especially with a FB with hands?

  14. while driving to colorado stopped at a cracker barrel wearing a steeler hat and had one of the oak ridge boys ask what ithought the steelers chances were for the upcoming season .

  15. I met the Bus at Philadelphia Airport in ‘96. He was great. I wished him luck on the season and he signed an autograph for me. Love the show guys!!

  16. Hey Mon! Probably too long of a story to put on the show but 1978 when he was preparing for his second fight with Leon Spinks we heard that the public was allowed into his compound to watch sparring sessions most afternoons. I'm talking about Muhammad Ali. So four of us packed up and headed for Deer Lake PA. We slept overnight in a tent in a local campground and early morning we decided to scout out where to go that afternoon. We found Ali's compound and we were turning around in the drive to leave until later day. At that time a guy from down the drive waved at us came up to our car and told us.  Park across the road and and I'll take you down to meet the champ he's getting ready for breakfast. I think we all looked stupid with our mouths hanging open but he didn't have to tell us twice.I later found out he was Howard Bingham, Ali's photographer. He brought us into a rustic building where Ali and members of his entourage were all seated around a large table. In the background several women were cooking. Bingham said something to effect "hey champ these young men came all the way from Erie to see you". If we were awed before we now were rendered mute as Ali greeted us like honored guests, made his people get up and give us their seats. For the better part of an hour we sat there as he talked to us treating us like we were VIPs. I was a fan before that time but walked out of there that day on cloud nine. Some people just have that special quality.I don't know what it is but he had it and listening to DK talk about meeting Joe Greene I understand completely how he felt.
