@Sharks de San José

1. so, if the mandate is to try and win next season, they have to keep Burns and b/o MEV. what they should do is trade Burns and wait until next summer to b/o MEV. see if they can win even after moving out Burns, with EK65 hopefully staying healthy and Merkley stepping up. Vlasic can start the season, but see if Kniazev can step up and replace him, if so, let Vlasic watch games or even bury him in the minors and b/o next summer. Simek has to be moved even if it takes a draft pick this summer.

  2. It’s hard to justify playing Vlasic over some of the other prospects in the system. At this point, he’s taking away ice time and slowing development of other prospects.

  3. I'd wait another season to buy him out, see if Merkley can make look better before one last try to trade him. I also wonder what it would cost to dump him at half salary. Maybe him at 50% and Dahlen to Mtl? Just a thought.

  4. I was thinking buyout MEV next year. But time to move on. I agree with JD. Time to free up space and ice time.

    Plus his attitude (at least his attitude to the press, which is how fans see him) is so delusional and passive aggressive that I think time to get that vibe out of the locker room.

  5. Trade Burns to Dallas for there 1 or 2nd round pick (the Sharks retain 2-4 million each year for the last 3 years of his contract. )
    Dallas will let Klingberg walk and only bring back Radulov if the money is right. Burns may/or may not have property down in Texas still and Dallas would love the idea of reuniting 88 with Pavs who had an amazing season this year.
    Keep Vlasic one more year. Play him against top lines, finess players like McDavid. He and Braun we never good against Power Forwards or bottom 6 forwards. Even if the Sharks make the wild card next season you can bet they’ll exit early so wait to make a splashy signing 2023 season. Save the Cap space for then, don’t panic buy now.
    Keep playing Meloche, and the tougher Sharks to protect our baby Sharks of the future. Every team plays better when they have multiple tough guys sprinkled throughput there line up.

  6. I know it's tough on you guys but the consistent content is guna reward you big. I'm a new and huge fan of your work. Thank you.
