Love your analysis and what you say. As far as the people in this chat stating Blues fans have no class is 100% in correct. There is that 10% keyboard warriors who are the loudest that every fan base has that make disgusting statements. They are not the majority. The majority of us didn’t like what happened, but we understand that Binnington should of caught the puck and ended that play but otherwise yes it’s hockey. Even though Rosen was doing everything he could to stop before he got to Binnington and Kadri was going for the puck, it’s hockey. What pissed most fans off is when Kadri lied about being pushed. He's the "hero" runs the best goalie in the playoffs and only had what 1 point when binner is in the net. Kadri had to run the goalie to find production, some hero.

Schenn was terrible last night. All he did at the beginning of the game was fuel kadri who lives off that kind of thing. As a Blues fan that was just a terrible effort compounded by having to play 48 and 43 instead of Krug and Scandella is showing more and more.
It just sucks that binner got hurt. Without him this game is ending in 5 but with him it’s going 7 and being a way better series

Av’s fan here. I was honestly happy for the Blues when they finally got a cup a few years ago. That goodwill is gone now. I have no respect for the Blues organization after this series. Absolutely disgusting. Avs in 5 so we can be done with this nonsense.
Feel like you missed the mark with the Kadri binnington injury. Yea you can look at his history and say he has a rap sheet but he has really made a change for the better this season and I think that’s pretty evident in his game 4 performance and overall composure. From a purely hockey perspective how do you tell Kadri to do anything different there? Loose puck in front of the net that he clearly has a chance to put in. As a coach you really want to see your forward stop skating there and let the defense have an easy clear? You talked about girard and putting yourself in a safe position but shouldn’t the same apply to binnington? If he holds that original shot there would have been no issues with players crashing the net. You leave a rebound 2 feet outside the crease people are going to crash the net hard, thats hockey.
I think some of this is a little overblown…And mostly a problem with the fans.
No reason for racist death threats. That being said, Berube and Perron are a little misunderstood here.
Berube is not one to take things personally. He’s a pretty thick skinned guy. Kadri does have a reputation around the league and that’s why Berube said it. Was also a very brief statement.
Perron does this every playoff series when he feels like his team and fans need a “spark” and Kadri is an easy target for anyone looking to take a dirty hit. He did same exact thing to Torey Krug in 2019. Krug got vengeance on Thomas and took him out of the playoffs. Blues hired Krug the next year. No personal vendetta.
The Blues were just playing bad hockey and getting completely out-skated. And incredibly bad goal-tending.

I really don't mind if players are getting hit by a clean hockey play. But goalies are off limits and players who attempt to take out a goalie expect retaliation. I was pissed off when Kadri didn't stop.

Two things are pretty certain. 1) Kadri is a dirty player, who thinks that any tactics used to win are justified. 2) The Blues let him get under their skin and he skillfully capitalized on their lack of composure. The Avs have more overall talent that is mostly healthier than the blues roster. Composure and hard work are the only things that will allow the Blues to win. In game 4, they ignored the composure part, and the Avs are too talented to even give an inkling of opportunity.
Did you really say that Perron runs into Kadri during the initial contact? Watch the entire clip not the Kadri friendly edit. You'll see Kadri skating. You'll hear a whistle. A few seconds later, Kadri checks Perron IN THE BACK and knocks him off balance. How TF you run into someone with your back to them? Buchnevich saw that and gave Kadri his receipt. Perron saw who hit him and went after him. Later after Kadri scored the goal, Perron tried to give him some chin music with his elbow. The altercation started with the blindsided Kadri hit. Sorry, dont care about Kadri's rap sheet. Most of them are ancient history. And two of the big ones were just standing up for teammates. Wingels elbows defenceless Marner, Kadri responds. Debrusk rides Marlow into the curved glass by the bench (ala Chara on Patches), Kadri responds. I'd have Kadri on my team anytime. Can't believe that Perron got just a fine for his on ice infractions. Oh well, guess ill just have to watch the Thornton – Perron hit a few times to calm down.
