  1. Thinking back to the day (technically night, for folks in Denver) the Avs traded Chris Stewart and Shattenkirk for EJ and Jay McClement, and the at-times vicious debates we had over it on MHH. I remember how some people just seemed to loathe the young Erik Johnson, seeing in him more of what he wasn't than what he was — someone who never quite lived up to his 1st overall status but nevertheless kept trying to be the top-pairing defender the team wanted him to be. Every mistake he made was fixated upon, evidence of the continued failures of the Sherman era. How many of us, back then, saw him lifting the Stanley Cup one day?

Time and age makes us forget a great many things, but EJ's journey will be one I hope we all remember. Something that began so tumultuously, during days so dark that a victory against the St. Louis Blues to snap a 20-game losing streak was celebrated earnestly, when hope was a dangerous mirage. This is the sweetest end there can be for the guy with the toothless grin. He is a disappointment no longer. Let those of us who despised the trade recant our words.

  2. When Aj goes off and brings everybody up that’s why I choose DNVR over any other Avs coverage! You guys are so genuine and provide the most consistent and thorough Avs coverage. Thank you for all that you do! Go Avs!!

  3. As a doubter, especially after the last 3 seasons, boy am I silenced! That third period was a fucking clinic by the Avs.

  4. Blaise has to hit on some other big bets to cover his babysitting bill. Sheesh!

Been watching Rudo for years. Always loved his film breakdowns. Don't sleep on his promo reads. Love Megan, AJ, Jesse, and Blaise. The DNVR team is awesome. Sorry I couldn't stay up to see this live. It has been a great ride. Love all of you!

  5. Megan with the Roy line!! 😂😂 “I can’t really hear what Jermey says, because I have my two Stanley Cup rings plug in my ear”

  6. So happy you guys were on board with Kuemper and stayed positive the whole time. I was getting so frustrated with all the hate he was getting it put me in such a crap mood. It almost ruined the final game experience for me. He came up big and should get the recognition he deserves!!

  7. Great to see this for EJ, Nate, Landy, and Mikko but also for Nazem Kadri and Val Nichushkin. Those two had to overcome some real adversity to become two of the best players on a cup winner. Props to Jared Bednar too, came in and weathered a serious storm after Patty quit, maybe the classiest coach in the NHL I've ever seen. I love the process that went in to this championship, great job Sakic and Chris MacFarland.

  8. Love you guys!!! Thank you!!! It was so great to celebrate live with you all last night!!!!!AVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I moved out to Indiana this year and it was beyond great to still have the pod and listen to other Av fans. You guys helped me convert friends into hockey fans. Thank you!

  10. Favorite moment on this run? How 'bout pitching a fucking shutout while hanging SEVEN on the two-time champs? Uh…yes, please.

  11. The intro, with the instrumental of blink, with Rudos narration, chills

  12. You guys handled this night perfectly,& with the most appropriate spot on comments. And I'm watching 12 days later…well done. Now that Kuemper is gone,& more will soon be…they will never be forgotten,or under appreciated,& always loved. And I can't wait til each of those guys come back-with their new team,& anniversaries,& such.

Except you said Bettman handed Landy the Cup…but he had COVID. But not important-DNVR also did an awesome job on this night. AJ what you said about everybody on the show was awesome to know in detail,& very classy move by you…& perfect timing to do it. Even when I disagree with you-we appreciate the job you all do,& understand you work extremely hard to know your shit.

  13. Watching this 3am on October 4th. Love every bit of this. @rightbyroy Meghan mvp passing the kleenex to AJ to wipe the championship tears. Love DNVR! Happy birthday Allie! Missing Evan's couch, if your looking to score in the clutch…………………..manscaped
