  1. Now we sit and wait for Bowman to finally trade Toews and Kane so they don’t have to suffer through this rebuild LOL

  2. As a very long time Blackhawks fan, very well done, a very fair and accurate assessment. Ty Shannon.

  3. Hawks fans should be happy with the Zadorov addition… for about 10 games. Then you begin to realize how much of a liability he is in his own zone. His whole defensive game is predicated on whether he can connect on multiple meaningful hits. He has horrible awareness when defending his own net. Not to mention his ability to make a breakout pass is very very low.
Nikita Zadorov is a bottom pairing defenseman who will be a fixture on a weak top 4.

  4. Thanks for the video! My 2 cents would be Glass Half Empty: We play poorly this year, but I still get to watch hockey. Glass Half Full: Dach picks up a lot of cheap goals standing in front of the net and he figures out his optimum shot range on breakaways adding to his goals column there as well. Kubalik is more comfortable playing in the nhl in his second season putting up even better numbers and upsets even more Kings fans about the trade – Shannon also does a video explaining why he should have been mentioned in the team preview 😀 . Debrincat gets back to a better scoring percentage. Kane continues to show why you added him to the future core 6. Toews goes complete beast mode because he is still mad about the rebuild. Seabrook shocks the world and comes back healthier than he's ever been and plays so well that people start saying he should be paid more. Mitchell meets expectations and Boquist shows improvement on the defensive and offensive side. All the newly added players improve the team AND they aren't out with injuries for large parts of the season. Our defensive issues are fixed with the mixture of veterans and youth. No one can figure out how to get a puck past any of the three goalies. Shortened season of 56 games gives the Blackhawks an advantage similar to playing best of 5 against Edmonton, most people think they won't win but they do.
ok so maybe that glass is pretty full (or running over) but all in all I get to watch hockey so I'll be happy 😀

  5. ___ the Hawks. (fill in the blank with words that ryhme with luck) Feels good to see them suffering through rebuilds

  6. I'm happy to see the kids and hopefully they take the next step forward.
Dach, Kubalik, Debrincat, Mitchell, Boqvist, are definitely who to watch. Hopefully they all take the next big step.

By the way, most of the flak you see on Twitter towards Stan Bowman are from Jabronis who only go to games for the beer.

  7. Steps to rebuild…1. fire Stan Bowman 2. Trade Toews(Jets), Kane(Buffalo), Keith 3. Seabrook put on LTIR 4.Give Coliton this year and next year and then evaluate.

  8. Chicago hit a grand slam with dach. Watching the first round against vegas he was one of the most visible and effective players on the hawks. No idea why they haven’t just tried to retool cause the threat is definitely there. I think bowman really messed up their potential

  9. by too low for dach, i hope you mean that if he did the same performance, it'd be too low, since what he did last year was way better than expectations

  10. Pius Suter is the rookie to watch. it's very likely that mitchell isn't even an every day guy this year

  11. Thank you for acknowledging that Kane is getting smarter with age! Honestly, I swear most people raise their eyes at me when I tell them that Kane is just as good as he was 5 years ago. Also I have never disliked Colliton, thought hes been a pretty decent coach this far. Only issues lie with Bowman.

  12. Captain Camel Toes hasn't shown intensity in years, leading the team to the basement.

  13. No one expecting anything from these goalies?
Speak for yourself. Watch the 2019 worlds, especially the semifinal where Lankinen shut out all the NHL and KHL stars Russia has to offer. I don't think I have ever been as impressed with a goalie.
Obviously that might just have been a great run that doesn't repeat, but I definitely am expecting him to be an absolute beast in the coming years.

  14. Who would you rather have?
    Artemi Panarin: $11.64m
    GP 69 G 32 A 63 PTS 95
    + 2nd, 3rd, and 7th
    or
    Calvin DeHaan: $4.55m
    Andrew Shaw: $3.9m
    Zack Smith: $3.25m
    Nikita Zadorov: $3.2m
    GP 169 G 12 A 28 PTS 40

  15. I keep wondering why the Hawks fell so hard. They still have good players. I wonder if they are looking to draft first, or at least close to first.

  16. I don't really care if we're good I just wanna see Chicago and Detroit get into fights again

  17. ACTIVE NHL LEADERS IN GOALS

    01. Alexander Ovechkin (706)
    02. Patrick Marleau (562)
    03. Sidney Crosby (462)
    04. Ilya Kovalchuk (443)
    05. Eric Staal (436)
    06. Steven Stamkos (422)
    07. Joe Thornton (420)
    08. Evgeni Malkin (416)
    09. Patrick Kane (389)
    10. Zach Parise (386)
    11. Jeff Carter (382)
    12. Corey Perry (377)
    13. Phil Kessel (371)
    14. Joe Pavelski (369)
    15. Jonathan Toews (345)
    16. Jason Spezza (341)

  18. Never seen a team start a season with a bunch of 3rd string goalies. Such an embarrassment

  19. Debrincat should bounce back. His SH% was 8.1. Kubalik was a nice bright spot last year, 3rd in Calder voting, shoots a lot, scores a lot. The goaltending duo is atrocious
