Shots on goal is revealing. The first period was amazing! So dominate. But!.. the second and third we were outshot 31/15 or something. Still felt like the 2nd was pretty good. Nuke had a career topping goal which was super awesome to witness live, Nate got one too! We had 2 more that should have gone in too. Felt much more similar to how they were playing end of last season. Just hope they’ll rest up well and keep up the heat through at least one more period. But this is the sign of the times. 4-6 weeks from now if healthy they’ll be unstoppably strong. Exciting times
O and #4… damn dudes. He’s playing very well. Hell only get better then next 50-100 games. So we have a stacked team for sure. And Sam looks like a solid hard working 2nd liner
Yeah nuke's elite for sure. I mean I guess we need to see him shake off a rough patch or two still now that he's taken these steps offensively. But he's that good. He's a 90 point RW kind of guy, another Rants, just less of a wizard moose and more of a nuke. I love rants defensively, but his stick only. Love nuke defensively in most ways. Love Rants first assist capability. But honestly nuke all around rivals MacK for our best forward these days, his energy level and reads have him all over everything. You take MacK and Rants all day, but everything says nuke is there now. His numbers are sustainable, he started shooting everything and dominating possession, some will go in. If he doesn't stop getting better, and he did what he did in those 20 supremely important games against the toughest and best… Why would we expect it to stop? I mean two points a game no, I know you didn't mean much Rudo, obviously he is elite I'm thinking, but the 90 points on top of what he brings hasn't already happened. But we do have eyeballs. Don't need stats in the bag to tell you this is who he is, this was a progression that looked natural and apparent. He only needs to play and not overthink things offensively when it goes dry for a few games. He's a 90 point winger on this team right now, and lets not forget that while one would think at some point he won't keep progressing, maybe that's not just yet. Took that goal rather smoothly today. I was thinking 90 points just shooting, banging and crashing and being someone you'd rather not deal with, with everyone else on this team.
Even flying back to track a rebound at the very end of the game to ice it. Guy knows what to look for and what's important. He was ugly goal guy at the ugly goal time of year for a reason.
