Just don't see it. Giroux is going to command 6m or so per season on his next contract, and there are other more pressing holes like goaltending and maybe even an upgrade on D if Barrie can be moved.
This is weird because in my franchise mode I got him and kept the core together except got rid of Keith, Kass and Smith. This would be great!

Hope we don't sign giroux the guy is 34 years old I think he will end up being another Kyle turris/brassard. We need guys that are around mcd/drai age.
Kane is the best option, Giroux 5 years ago maybe not now to slow…
He's to old to slow and has no physical aspect to his game …so how is he a replacement for Kane. He adds more softness to a already super soft Ken Holland team .
Wrong guy to target. Forwards could use some toughness and finishing. He provides neither. Oilers have enough playmakers.
Nope. Giroux has some value but he's not the "type" that the Oilers need. Kane (harder player) is what they need.
