  1. Been asking for a real rebuild for the last 10 years….if canucks dont make the playoffs and dont rebuild, i will never watch any canucks content ever again.

  2. Allvin and Rutherford need the stones to do the right thing if the team doesn't turn it around, and trade JT Miller by the deadline before his new contract kicks in.

There is no other way to shakeup this core without taking his $8M off the books going forward to free up the cap, and taking on some younger assets.

  3. Management didn’t want Bruce back , he was only supposed to be there till end of season, they had someone else they wanted , but the turnaround surprised them , and didn’t know what to do , now you are stuck with this mess ,

  4. At some point, the blame has to be directed towards Rutherford and Allvin. Drance is right that the new management is doing nothing different in terms of managing the team's finances responsibly. Trevor Linden was forced out so Benning can sign massive contracts to disable the team's long-term future for one playoff run in 2020, and now Rutherford and Allvin are essentially doing the same thing not off loading OEL, Myers and Poolman, and signing Miller to a 8×8… It is sad being a Canucks fan watching them never able to truly contend…

  5. Same old negative narrative from the #fakenewsmedia. Never forget people, these are the same people that pushed the Vax, restrictions, and lockdowns. Never forget who they work for.

  6. Country club did jack Benning cap messed missed the playoffs again Defense issued can't beat flyers whe
What a joke new players soft 2 year window haha Bruce here he goes fired mid November

  7. Mr Drance is 100% right.
The mega contract the new management team gave Miller just says it all – no vision, no coherency, no planning. I thought it must be better without Benning but now I'm not sure.

  8. Drance gets a lot of criticism from uninformed fans, but he is intelligent and his analysis is spot on in my opinion. This team definitely needs changes, but not short-term fixes. Management needs to tread very carefully and make smart decisions with the future in mind. This is yet another reminder that Aquilini and Benning have screwed this city and the team due to their idiotic short-sightedness.

  9. There is 'glass half full' and 'glass half empty', and then there is Thomas Drance–no water at all.

  10. Drancer is at the top of the analysis game. Calls a spade a spade.

  11. Watching Drance go management consultant nuts here in his withering commentary on the state of the Vancouver Canucks was hilarious and worth every minute.

Looking forward to watching how nuclear his reaction might be next week after the Canucks also find a way to lose to Buffalo tomorrow night and then the Hurricanes on Monday night.

  12. when the new management team came in, the play was to dismantle this team basically keeping 4 players. it is a 4 year plan and some bleak seasons, but that is the formula for building a cup contender. you can't build a contender through free agency and trade deadline deals. that's for when you have a team ready to compete for the cup. when they didn't let miller go, the dye was cast for more years of mediocrity. i guess the lesson wasn't learned when the canucks drafted 2nd and 3rd in the same draft, and ended up with a team that could have and should have won the cup. the canucks will be a middle of the pack pretender for the foreseeable future.

  13. the canucks have the third lowest all-time winning percentage in NHL history. Really they're 2nd worst, but Seattle bumped them up to third. My point: ADJUST YOUR EXPECTATIONS. This is a bush league NHL franchise. This is not one of the teams that is serious about winning. This is one of the worst pro sports franchises ever. EVER!

  14. Fine, but I wish that someone would ask Drance how his 5-year plan would be compatible with keeping Pettersson. He's not going to accept seeing his career wasted on a rebuild.

  15. looking to see the canucks lose Saturday , just to see Drance go ape sh…t for nothing. It's only sports dude . Breathe, do some freken yoga or something man

  16. hands down agree with everything dance said made me laugh out loud agreeing with the things he said about this franchise won't rebuild to be a contender it's about sneaking into a wild card spot and not Miller is the lack of defense not named Hughes and schenn

  17. Someone needs to tell this guy to shut up.. He doesn't always need to yell, in fact a few people might Cough enjoy what he sais…

  18. Lmao the season is toast already. This team has always been weak mentally. What makes everyone think they can rebound? They always lose the first game back from a road trip. Just like last years home opener. Total no shows

  19. I can think of a person who's enjoying this tire fire, one Mr Travis Vernon Green.

  20. Drance hits the nail on the head once again. We need a new owner that is willing to do an actual rebuild and actually make a formidable team and not some bullshit middle of the run barely squeak into playoffs to get dumpstered in the first round by an actual cup contender!

  21. Love the Canucks, but can't seem to disagree with Drance on this one. I'm hoping we get a good season, and it's still VERY possible we do… but I absolutely think the Miller deal makes the team much worse in a few years, for YEARS, all to give us a hope of a 1st or 2nd round exit as BEST CASE scenario this year and next. Not to mention…. asking Miller to be a superstar player because you paid him too much.. absolutely setting him up to fail.. where only a career best year on his part actually earns the salary you're paying him.

  22. I guess the only thing left to do is stop watching the Canucks or cheer for a different team
