That was a hell of a game! I will say both teams really needed that win to stay in playoff contention. Man, I really wanted the Kings to redeem themselves from last week. The final minutes of the 3rd period looked doubtful until Moore got the goal to tie it. Then Anthanasiou got the OT goal. Gritty win for the Kings man! Not taking anything away from the Bruins, they played great. This is definitely one of my favorite games of the season. GKG!
I guess so called Kings Fan wanting immediate changed when Kings lost Bruins 7-0 last game is either awfully quiet now or have a temporary amnesia and now back on the Kings bandwagon. 7-0 or 1-0 is still a loss. Somebody tell Kings announcer Faust to learn the sweater numbers and names of the Kings players so he can tell his audience the name of the King scorer in real time. Roy Storey and Bob Miller were really good at this.
Also, Faust, the term, "They Score!" is reserved for the visiting team as the announcer doesn't see them very often so he doesn't know them well enough to announce who scores in real time.
Lastly, the term "LA" is a negative connotation for Los Angeles. Ever hear of BEAT LA!, BEAT LA! "LA" has never been a positive description for Los Angeles teams, especially for hockey. Canadians for instance have always used the term "LA" as a negative in describing Los Angeles.
Our team is called, The Los Angeles Kings!
Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Montreal etc. will call us the LA Kings, after we beat their a**!
