It might be too early to panic about the Rangers overall play, which has been disappointing, but I don't think it's too early to worry about Halak being an adequate back-up goaltender. He hasn't been any good for a long time, IMO, though he always seemed to save his best games as an Islander for the Rangers. I also won't be surprised to see them make a move to get a veteran defenseman. Jones and Schnieder together might not cut it.
Wait, if The Rangers were losing, why didn't they just send their Captain out to elbow fellow human beings in the face when they weren't looking at 20 mph ??
Maybe cause career threatening head injuries …
