Aperçu de la saison 2021-22 St. Louis Blues

Je pense qu’ils seront meilleurs la saison prochaine qu’ils ne l’étaient en 2021, mais les séries éliminatoires diront s’ils sont candidats ou non.

  1. Binnington was a minus GSAA goaltender in the 2019 playoffs. He had no argument for the Conn Smythe over both O'Rielly and Pietrangelo

  2. Blues fans are going to enjoy Buchnevich. He has improved each year…and holds his own defensively…
He has 30 goal 60+ pt upside.
Hated to see him go, but we needed to open up minutes for our young skill players

  3. At the moment I predict the Blues barely edginf out the Jets for 2nd place in the central (potentially tied in points). I think Binnington will be fine–had a good start and end to the season, and passed the eye test in the playoffs. If Parayko is healthy that'll make a huge difference for the defense, but I would like to see them snag a big defensive defensemen, but that couldn't happen until Tarasenko or someone else is moved. Really excited to see Buchnevich on the ice for the Blues

  4. I think the Blues should make the playoffs. I think they can be 2nd or 3rd in the division but not sure how far they can go in the playoffs

  5. This team is a train wreck. Thomas isn’t signed, and it’s clear the small amount of space they have left for him won’t cover it. They are a Krug or Binnington injury away from being a lottery team. The left wing depth is also a mess.
Perron won’t finish the season on the team and it appears that 55 might also be in his last season there as well ( if you look at the way petro was handled, you are seeing the same with 55)

The only saving grace for this team is that the pacific is absolutely pitiful. I have this team 5th in the central and the final playoff team, which ultimately hurts them more than helps.

  6. Barely in the playoffs and out in the first round but I do think Tarasenko starts the year in St. Louis.

  7. I like that for at least a little while longer, if you type Canucks Blues into youtube, you get to see the Canucks beating them lol

  8. Very fair assessment, Shannon. We are looking for the Blues to regain their mojo, especially Binner, this season.

  9. Could you do a video on your hats – I'm a big hockey hat guy. How do you store them ? Any special issues ? Thanks. Jimmy from Boston

  10. Are you going to publish your division picks? You said St L finishes 3rd but behind who? I’d love to see a long breakdown of the division standings with lots of cats in the background. Long breakdown. Which team finishes where and why. I love your show. Thanks.

  11. I’d expect St. Louis to pick up after this season after two first round exits.

  12. Why you doing your team reports this early. I am doing my 32 teams in 32 days when we are 32 days before season starts. Oh,still love your channel man. You rock & inspire me to do my own NHL Report

  13. It's also a matter of, "Are they healthy?" 2021 DP is out with COVID and Faulk gets taken out by Kadri – significant impact. Not to mention Gunnarsson and Sundqvist were already out for the season early

  14. I'm unreasonably annoyed they their special teams added up to 101 and not 100. Imagine being even in goals for/against and 100 on special teams.

  15. Agree with everything you said here, 3rd in the central sounds about right.
Last season was weird because Parayko had some nagging injury that made him a shell of his usual self for pretty much the whole season, that's a huge blow. Tarasenko had a ton of rust to knock off and the there were significant injuries to key players all season long.
As long as Parayko is healthy and we don't have catastrophic injuries again I really like this team. All they need to do is shore up the defense to become serious cup contenders again, the offense and depth is there to make a run. Kostin is going to break out this year and I can't wait to see what Saad and Buch bring to the team. Thomas will be a star if he can stay healthy.

  16. I don't see this being Perron's last year. He has shown he likes it here and he's willing to give a discount as long as the team is competitive. He also seems to get better every year. Curious to see if he still trends like that.

  17. Shannon, completely unrelated but I know you’re a Padres fan. I’d love to hear your take on their total collapse that’s happening right now over on your other channel.

  18. As a NYR fan, Buchnevich had a terrific year last year. The years before that? Underwhelming. I think it’s 60/40 he’s the same player as last season…may have just been a flash in the pan.

  19. Doesn't look like a Stanley Cup contender to me. Roster seems weaker than last year, goal-tending could be really shaky…not sure Bennington will ever return to his 2019 form.

  20. Key for the Blues in my mind stay out of the box as much as possible have newbies Saad and buchneivich turn on the offense but still blues can use one more defense guy to protect binner hopefully we can get someone to play defense from a Tarenseko trade

  21. As a Blues fan 2019-20 eats at me. Blues were have a great season after their Cup win…..then covid hit. The season was halted and when it returned the Note wasn't the same. The what if to if the season had never stopped would the Blues have repeated looms. Now the team isn't the same. It's disappointing.

  22. I still think they should have kept on playing "Gloria" at least until it stopped working. Ditto the Carolina Jerks and their storm surge. 2019 was fun.

  23. I agree with the assessment that the blues are a good team, but definitely not a favorite. Hopefully they fix the penalty kill because they were atrocious on that. In terms of losing Hoffman, yes he helped us on the power play, but was almost useless anywhere else. Dunn was good for offense but trash ok defense. I'm why he'd a dman.

In terms of Binnington obviously I was happy with the Stanley Cup run, but I was always worried that he may be a flash in the pan. Ever since then, he's been an average goalie.

The blues this season all depend on how the young guys step up. I'm stoked about Buch. Kyrou and Thomas have lots of talent but need to take the next step.

  24. In terms of krug, I was not impressed. He wasn't bad, just didn't seem to be worth the money

  25. Getting swept by a power team is very suprising. Under normal circumstances the Blues wouldn't have even made it to the playoffs. The team; however, is in the decline after losing their captain Pietrangelo to Vegas and Binnington is currently in a downward spiral. This comes to show that after winning it all, a team goes on a downhill for a little while. I expect St. Louis to still be in a downhill and not make the playoffs this year.

  26. Tarasenko is 90% of this teams future, ability, and is irreplaceable! Tarasenko will make and or break hockey’s future in STL for years to come. For the love of GOD PLEASE PRAY TARASENKO STAYS HERE IN ST. LOUIS!!!!!!!
Let’s go blues 🤗IDK ABOUT YALL BUT IM STILL CELEBRATING THE BLUES STANLEY CUP WIN BABY!

  27. Dear Shannon can you do a follow up on Ken Wilson? Blues greatest play by play guy! Ohhhh baby!!! That’s Ken Wilson’s creation and so many jhave tried stealing from this great man GOD BLESS YOU ALL MY FELLOW HOCKEY FANS

  28. I love your work on these videos. For myself being from St. Louis, I personally feel the loss of Pietrangelo will set Blues back Defensively for 5 Years (including 2020-21 Season). Blues on Bovada.lv Points Over/Under Total set at 92.5. I feel Blues could be on the bubble of in or out, in the 6th through 10th area. On a side note, maybe in the Win-Loss-Overtime column from last 3 years, maybe try Points Percentage instead due to different amount of games over the recent years? I'd rather NHL have just a Win or Loss Standings in general to keep Wins more important than teams trying to capture a Point for not going all out in the 3rd Period ie being conservative. #LONGLIVETHENOTE

  29. Replacing Petro with Faulk and losing Bouw a couple of years ago has really affected their defensive chemistry. They haven’t found their line combinations and Faulk, while good, just isn’t a well-rounded defenseman. I hope that Krug can figure his game out. The amount of money the Blues have tied up in Fault and Krug may be their single biggest problem defensively.

  30. I really like your channel because you don’t let your passions for or against a team cloud your analysis

  31. Dunn is so overrated by people who don't follow the Blues closely. He is a turnover machine. The defense gets far better with his departure, and a healthy Parayko plus several young D men who are ready for the next step will improve the D.
