  1. I thought the Sabres were going to improve and be dangerous back when we still had Eichel, before I learned of his terrible attitude and him throwing the organization under the bus by making everyting public, I saw what Dahlin was going to become, I saw what Power was going to become.

Olofsson was just blooming, I thought and still think Mittelstadt will be a good player, we had Skinner (I knew Kreuger was the problem as soon as he put Skinner on the 4th line), Cozens and Samuelsson were already in the organization, we had just drafted Quinn and Peterka also.

Honestly if we still had Reinhart this would for sure be a play-off team right now, we probably still are, but I never really wanted to trade him, just Eichel.

You can't get that many 1st round draft picks and not at least be a play-off team eventually right? Would hope so at least.

We just needed a legit coach, not a Bylsma, Housley, or Krueger. Granato is finally the first good head coach the Pegula's have hired, I never thought the players were the main problem all these years; the coaches were.

  2. Thanks a lot Wayne, you got the name on point with your pronunciation, haha.
Just a little kicker aside, i am from Czech Republic and Dominik Hasek might be running a campaign as a candidate for a president next elections, haha.
As you mentioned, you can see how tight the Sabres are becoming and I will elaborate a bit – as a goalie myself playing on a team the pack or tribal mentality is crucial in terms of success and it really comes through more so in a postseason.
Prime example is Tampa Bay – these guys go to an every battle like a wolfpack every playoff game – blocking shots, backchecking, scrambling like junkyard dogs, this is how I want to see Sabres play, this is how you build a champion.
As you said loses or wins, the body language is very important, communication on bench between players, etc.

  3. I think people just get so high strung about the Sabres. They over analyze every small game and loss. They don't look at the big picture. I agree the negativity is getting smaller but people are so afraid of saying it's the real deal and I just want people to trust this organization again.

  4. Very well said. Love that the team has a strong bond and they will get even stronger. I'm looking forward to the Seattle game. Sabres gonna be Kracken some heads.

  5. I’ve observed a trend of negativity towards Buffalo. You can see it now with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are the best team in the NFL and after every win the so called “experts” and analysts complain how the other team lost the game, not how we WON the game. I guarantee we will continue to see this with the Sabres. They just don’t want us to win and won’t give us credit. They will claim the other team just choked that night and complain about the mistakes. Not our skill or will to win the game.

  6. My only concerning moment so far was after Skinner got boarded badly, nobody really made any move. Skinner is a huge vibes guy and I hope I am simply reading too much in

  7. If we continue to get the goaltending we are seeing lately, we will make the playoff’s but that is a big if to overcome

  8. I think it's well-established, going back to last season, that this team plays for each other. The next step is to play for the fans. I think Sabres fans showed in the last third of the season that we support the team no matter what. It's time that the Sabres play for the fans at home. Now that we may come home having swept the West, it's time to establish home-ice dominance.

  9. Just before I watched your video, I saw one saying how Vancouver and Buffalo switched spots this season. In a way its true, but its almost insulting that there are still a lot of media out there that still is waiting for our Sabres to tank.

  10. Wanted to add that, Im so happy the push for Jason Robertson didnt happen. What would that have spoken to the team if GMKA traded some key guys when he said he wants to keep the group in the offseason so they can grow together. Was so happy to see that trade never happened.

  11. I love their pressure Defense. Put pressure on them to steal the puck. Having to make quick decisions and hoping it turns into a turnover and a shot on goal for us. SCORE!!! Let's GO BUFFALO!!!

  12. I really feel GM KA needs to be credited with what a remarkable job he has done. He has built this culture from the ground up starting with taking the C away from Eichel and telling him to stay away from the team and bring in people who want to be here. Best move they have made in 10-15 years by making him GM
