The last two goals and that huge Vanecek save made me erect. Last years team would have given up that 3rd goal and possibly even a 4th at the end with the goalie pulled. This team is learning not to play scared with a lead
This season is going to be an emotional roller coaster and i can’t wait!
Alright, I had high hopes for Holtz and was pissed at Ruff for sitting him, but I’m off the hype train. Send him down and don’t bring him back up until he figures out how to play professional hockey. The shot is gorgeous, but literally every other part of his game is too slow.
Zetterlund absolutely must be in the lineup from here on out.
Smith needs to go. Bahl needs to be in. I was about to write that Bahl has been our best defenseman in his short time thus far, but that’s not true…
…Marino is a fucking monster. Love this guy, feel like we fleeced the shit out of Pittsburgh and as much as I love Sevo and don’t want to see him go, I feel confidently that we can send him away for a scoring winger or in a package for a big goalie and that we would only miss him nostalgically. All because of Marino. I would definitely miss Sevo’s stretch passes to a breakout forward that almost always convert to goals though.
Wonder what you guys think about keeping Bratt and Jack together moving forward? Obviously worked out last night and seems to work out every time they play together, and Nico is our new Zajac in that he can make anybody look good next to him.
