  1. Play I think that the game was going to be five to one for Vancouver and I think it's a good trade we still need defenseman but depth is always good

  2. Traded for a career minor leager. Who plays the one position Canucks have plenty of. Not off to a great start

  3. this Canucks management must be brain dead? We barely have any D prospects never mind RD. You trade your best prospects for a 4th line center? Nuts

  4. Does he need to clear waivers if he gets returned to the AHL at some point? That would suck to do that move just to lose him when lazar returns

  5. People who think this is a good trade is delusional Boston won this they got a dman they can work on and can become something good he just got drafted last year and for Dipetro could’ve gotten a pick atleast Boston just fleeeeeeced the nucks Jim benning 2.0 is here letssss gooo 50 years of failure continues

  6. please no ethan bear…couldnt cut it with the oilers or hurricanes and we are loaded with 7th dmen…go get jacob chychrun

  7. WHY WHY WHY(in Nancy Kerrigan voice) What is going on with this new Jim Benning Copycat Regime. Trade a big young Right side D (what we need) and a Goalie that was Abused by the Farm team for an AHL Center Brutal. Bring back Gillis Please.

  8. I don't like it. Studnicka isn't even a regular (he only played 8 minutes in his first game this season)

  9. It seems like Studnicka has not panned out for the Bruins and has become a minor leaguer (or fill-in NHLer). I am more concerned that when Lazar goes down, the team does not have a center down in the minors who can fill in for a few weeks and needed to make a trade – shows you how bare the cupboard really is down in the farm, in spite of everything the brass is trying to tell fans. I hope DiPietro will have a chance to be properly developed and can emerge as an NHLer after all. The year riding on the taxi squad really did not help his development, and I still cannot understand why you would park a prospect in such a position when you could have easily obtain a veteran, cheap goalie to be parked in the same way, and give DiPietro the needed ice time in the farm instead.

  10. I like this deal from the Canucks end. Studnicka has an intriguing amount of upside for a reclamation project like he is. I think it's totally fair that the Canucks don't view Myrenberg as the answer or part of the answer to shoring up the back end. That's the thing about prospects, you gotta determine what they are as an asset and make a decision to monetize or risk investing in and have it potentially not work out.

Obviously, people will look back on how trading, or should I say MONETIZING Gustav Forsling turned out (Chicago and Carolina deserve flack as well for not capitalizing on him). Could Myrenberg pan out similarly and become an everyday player? Sure, but the chances of it blowing up in the Canucks face are extremely slim, plus he is at least 5 years away from being ready to turn pro here in North America it sounds like.

  11. We need defense and right side D most of all. So we trade a right hand defenseman we drafted last year. Yes he won't be in our line up anytime soon but where is it that our brain trust thinks defensemen are coming from? We couldn't trade for one this summer and we trade our prospects? The short term thinking insanity continues in Vancouver. Does not matter who is in charge as they all behave the same.
