They glazed over it but if you watched the game a Duck ran into Thompson I think and Thompson dropped him like a sack of potatoes..then Whitecloud defended Thompson..that Smith goal came right after it if I remember correctly..needless to say, Thompson won that argument with the shutout 😂
Without Lehner and with Thompson in goal the team is obviously playing so much better! The energy just as the chemistry on the team is quite different compared to last season with Lehner in goal…. I've also noticed that Karlsson seems to benefit more than anyone else on the roster from having Cassidy as their new head coach instead of DeBoer! He's scoring goals and points regularly, it kind of reminds me of the Wild Bill from year 1 which made many fans and people wonder if he could repeat such a feat again…. Well he's on a good way! Cassidy and his system has without a doubt made the whole team play better hockey, this could indeed become a great season for VGK!
