Larkin refuses to cover his man in front of the Wings net leading to how many goals? Was it three? Plus, his turnover which directly led to another CBJ goal. His defensive game is horrible.
Let's go RefWings the crooked bastards who decide the games outcome. This game was a officiating disaster for the NHL and Bettman needs to do something about it if he can stop being a part of the corruption himself.
Sloppy sloppy sloppy. Has to be the worst defense in the league. Can't be wasting talent like every other team in Detroit as done for decades. Clean it up.
As a Caps fan, I'm happy to see Vrana thriving in Detroit. He was always a very streaky player for us, flashing his talent but wildly inconsistent. He seems to have found a home, and the fact that he would be on pace for a 40-50 goal season (projected over 82 games with the Wings) is absolutely nuts. Take care of him, Detroit.
The thing missed on Cbus's first goal is 20 seconds earlier DK had Bert wide open up the left boards for a zone exit and he threw it to nobody up the right instead, Columbus kept it in and scored shortly after.
The turnover leading to the OT goal was just the worst missed hooking call of many in the night. Rassmussen had a step on his guy behind the net but was towing him and got corkscrewed right next to an official. Worst officiated game I've been to
The red wings D played terrible in this game. 3 of the goals were preventable if they had a net front battle and pushed the other guy out. Instead they just let them camp in front of the net. There were 2 D on the guy with the puck below the goal line, and that is a rule most hockey players learn by the time they are 10. Don't have 2 D men behind the goal line on your own end. You want 1 in front of the net pretty much at all times. I hate saying this, but it was also Larkin's fault on 2 or 3 goals. He saw that there were 2 D caught behind the net, and as the center he needs to read that and collapse down to push their guy out from the net, instead of floating at the hash marks or tops of the circles looking for a breakout pass. It's almost impossible for a goalie to stop a shot from 5 feet away, especially if that player has 2 or 3 seconds to get set after receiving the pass.
Love how the player who grew up in Columbus got his first hat trick with the Jackets via an OT winner. Not to mention the extra assist he added.
Also, as a Jackets fan, Detroit has an even brighter future than the Jackets do. The Yzerplan is slowly but surely doing it’s magic. Hockey will be an even better place when the Red Wings are playoff contenders again.

That Vrana kid looks like a keeper. Now get him a great playmaker linemate
Gagner was that his 500th pt?

Omg this Vrana is so great to watch. His first goal was a stunner. Just unlucky that Detroit lost.

Vrana is UNREAL
4 hat tricks since April 1. Thats 4 of 5 for those keeping track.
Bertuzzi looking more and more like he sleeps in a million dollar trailer
Vrana has an extra ability to score goals even when someone is hanging on his back. It's not his first such action.

As a Red Wings fan I will continue to drink beer and hope for great draft selections and some stellar off-season acquisitions.
Детройт пропустил две шайбы, дал шайбу прямо на клюшку соперника в своей зоне. С защитой у них проблемы.
