  1. Avalanche can't throw a game away, I hope they rebound against the blue jackets on Saturday.

  2. incredible game! I was going to shut it off but for some reason thought they still had a chance…AND THEY WON! LETS GOO! They have got a lot of confidence I am sure! Looking good LETS GET TO FIRST PLACE! #LGI!

  3. Isles showing some heart in this one. 4 unanswered goals against the champs, what a great thing to build on.

  4. I gotta be honest I have not seen the islanders put up goals like this in a long while. I’ll go even further they’ve been my team as long as I can remember, that said I thought they weren’t gunna have it in em this year and I would be having one of those “watch to support my team even tho they don’t have a shot in hell” type of seasons. It’s still early but they are looking way better than expected. These last two games have been off the charts to watch.

  5. Strong start to Avs game through first half of second period then absolute collapse. Thought we had it in the bag with a 3 goal lead, but we decided to get manhandled, out worked and out skated in our defensive zone, and give up FIVE straight goals. FFS! It’s not looking good for the boys with the injuries and lack of depth. Good news is Newhook finally activated, Rodrigues is playing really well, and Makar is pissed and ready to fire it up. Once Nichushkin is back in the lineup, hopefully the boys can find some rhythm.

  6. This start is proving they fixed the problem, even though our goalies had great records and allowed under 3 goals last year, if you scored 3 goals on the Islanders last year, you won 9 out of 10 times, by a point or two, now they have an incredible offense getting the job done, and Sorokin is starting to become a master, and for starting goalies who've played more then 50 games for the Islanders, his career GAA is the lowest at 2.32, and now has a 2.21.its looking blue sky…

  7. As good as they were under Barry Trotz, this is the kind of game they would’ve never won under the previous system. Maybe they wouldn’t fall behind by three goals, but forget about coming back like this against a good team like Colorado if they did trail by three goals.

  8. It feels like someone new is the hero every night. Most fun I’ve had watching the Isles since the 21 cup run. Even then, this team has been far more entertaining than the Trotz teams.
