Shouldn’t even be brought up until we’re at least 1/3 or 1/2 through the season.
Considering he’s tied for 2nd in goals right now, I’d say it’s just early enough lol
If he keeps shooting to the net at the same rate as he is currently, and scores at a rate of 13%, he’ll end up with around 36 goals. At 14% (slightly more than his current career average) he may reach 40. Thatd be incredible, bur not sure he’d get the rocket.

35 goals is a realistic prediction. But my biased view want 40+ goals.
I will be very happy to eat my words, but I don’t think CC will be in the cards for the Rocket Richard trophy ever.
I absolutely love our short king, but realistically he is a 30-40 G player. You need north of 50 to win the Richard these days.

He could definitely crack top 10, but hes gonna compete with some seasoned snipers on great teams. To say hes gonna outscore McDavid, Matthews, Stamkos, Ovi and the rest is a bold claim. But I could see him crack the top 10 with 30-40 goals. He shoots a lot and remains our sole plan on the PP, he’s gonna have enough shots this season, just a matter if he can convert enough of them.

Personally, I hope he has a great season but I also hope not too much. Cause I wouldn’t want him to end up being our new 10M contract guy.
