Great 20 man roster. I'd prefer to have Holloway on the 3rd line and put Foegele on the 4th line with Ryan, and omit Devin Shore, but I guess it all comes down to training camp. Maybe Bourgault can beat out a few guys for a top 6 role and play with McD or Drai? Edmonton will benefit from a Barrie trade. I'm still very unconfortable with the Broberg-Barrie 3rd pairing.
I like the rosters but the one thing you didn't say is what the numbers are in each scenario to get it cap compliant. Does a 20 man roster (either scenario) get them under the cap allowing for LTIR on Klefbom and Smith? Thanks for the vid as always. Take care all.
I know this sounds stupid but I would send Jesse down or put him on waiver. Because he cost the Oilers big money and time for him to become a subpar player. Plus he always come on strong then stop playing hard ! Every year he does this.
A healthy Dylan Holloway will add to the roster; wouldn’t leave him out; 3rd line cantering Puljujarvi and Devin Shore/Derek Ryan/Foegel. (One of these guys)
The team is looking pretty good with the 20 man roster. Never had the luxury of thinking that in a very long time. I believe Holland will make some moves and as stated there is no rush. Thanks for the vids Patrick.
Don’t see a 20 man roster working for a western northern Canadian team who’s Ahl team is in Cali at the min you’d need a 21 man roster you only need to look what happened to Vegas last yr with zero cap and a revolving door of injuries= no playoffs
A 20 man roster would be very difficult to do at the START of a season. Holland should move some money and make sure that the roster is at least 22 players. To contemplate a 20 man roster, the Oilers would need to move their AHL affiliate much closer (St Albert, Sherwood Park, Ft Sask., Leduc, etc… even Red deer would be too far to make it work.)

Hopefully I can see U in person to say hi.😉
Thanks for giving us some regular hockey content in this long, hot summer, Patrick!

Phil Kessel would be an interesting choice for the Oilers if they give him a lifetime supply of free hotdogs as a signing bonus lol
If phil kessel comes trade Warren
Don't trade barrie
Bad move

I would rather see a trade than not have the flexibility to bring players up and down
Shore is a waste of skin on the Oilers roster.
It's dangerous because the injury factor always comes knocking on the door for a visit no matter what team you are
Ben in your opening pic is classy Patrick. Well done!
The D still looks like it could use some improvement.
I think Patrick has earned the thumbs up before we even watch the vids by now.
