If you look back to last year when they switched Marner and Nylander, the change lasted until the Bruins came to town and Tavares and Marner played against the Bergeron line. As a result Matthews was sitting on the bench when the Bruins top line was on the ice. After that it changed back. Nylander looks great, when he is shelted. He isn't defensively responsible enough to play against other teams best players regularly. Keefe can't switch Marner/Matthews and Nylander/Taraves and not shelter the Matthews Nylander pair and Matthews is unwilling to go back to being sheltered. He can't play Marner/Nylander/Tavares because then he is stuck sheltering Marner. The Leafs need a coach who has enough credibility that he doesn't have to walk on egg shells.
Holl is a fine bottom pair Dman. If the Leafs want him to play higher than that, he needs help. Reilly/Mete… yea it takes your breath away but maybe it works. There is no harm in trying. They have limited options until Liljegren comes back

I feel it is kerfoot who is playing good but finding him a place in the line up. it screws all the lines up. Keefe wanting a checking line was suppose to be engvail,kamph,jankork. 4th line reese,knuble, simmons/extra instead kamph playing on the fourth its all over the place the lines. Dont ask me who but trade kerfoot and holl to get what we need on defense. Otherwise great show guys keep up the great work !!!!!
