That was so ugly. Happy we got the W but we got a lot of improving to do lol.
Its cool we won, but not happy about it.
We were winning 2-0 after 40 minutes and needed a shootout to secure the victory. 12 minutes we allowed 3 goals and had what? 2 shots?
I woke up to pee right as OT started so I got to see the good parts. Reinny did a thing tonight!
Don’t even know what to say about this game. I’ll definitely take the 2 points but man…there’s just still so much to clean up.
So tired of playing down to the wire against teams that aren’t even near us in talent, it’s downright pathetic at times. And it’s not an « off-night » thing…it’s practically every game. We all knew this year wouldn’t match last year’s scoring output but we lost ONE offensive player yet look like we lost 5. Barkov is in some sort of funk and he needs to get out of it yesterday. He’s the identity of this offense and when he’s off, it’s clear the ENTIRE offense is off, save for Tkachuk and Verhaeghe.
Worst part is how uninspired we play half the game. We don’t even look like we want to win sometimes. Guys out there going through the motions and just skating along. No fire, no intensity half the time. It’s embarrassing, but we got the 2 points so we move on…
Welp. Made another middle tier nhl goalie look like a superstar again. I have a feeling it won’t be the last time either. I’ll take the 2 points tho no matter how ugly.
This one we seriously should have lost with the way that we played in the third period. Lazy, missed passes, missed assignments.
I get there’s a cohesion period but this fall apart act is already super old.
We got a FIVE MINUTE POWER PLAY, scored one goal and it felt accidental.
We’ll make the playoffs but not much else this year, it’s another year of seasoning (at least as they play currently)
The sea ice is beginning to break. Sasha with number two, Radko playing great and *scoring?*, Forsling is an early season Norris Trophy candidate…and…drumroll please…REINHART SCORED!!!
