Chabot was terrible again tonight. We can’t be hanging our goaltender out to dry the way we are. Our top guys are non existent since the Norris injury.
My concern over DJ for his entire tenure in Ottawa has been his apparent softness. We need a coach with grit, integrity, heart, drive, commitment, discipline, and honour. From the outside, DJ appears to just kind of float on by without flipping the boys' switches in their heads into playoff mode.
It’s always how great the other team is. We keep losing games. I though we we’re told we had one of the most talented team? Just a bunch of excuses. Dump and chase all night long again tonight. We need a new system it’s evident
We need Zub back asap to help Chabot out because he is just a turnover machine and overall I hate to say it but he's been worse than Zaitsev and on the ice for more GA so far
Like I said BEFORE the game (you can see my comment on the pregame interview), I didn't expect to win this game. Vegas is the 2nd best team in the NHL right now, and I can't blame them for losing. All I wanted was a competitive game, and we got it for the most part. I'd like to see better d-zone coverage to limit high-danger chances, but unlike the last 2 games, we actually outshot the competition. Sens played well tonight aside from a few defensive blunders and uncharacteristically questionable goaltending.
As a side note, and I hate to say it, but yet another bad game from Chabby. Didn't look good on the SH goal. That being said, overall, we all know he's still a damn good player, and I get the feeling he's trying too hard to overcompensate for Zub being out of the lineup and it's leading to mistakes that wouldn't happen if he had a partner he could count on defensively. Branny has plenty of offensive to his game, but doesn't belong on this team because we have Chabby and (Enter)Sandman. #GrainOfSand#OffToNeverNeverLand (maybe a bit more heavy metal in the dressing room and they'd play harder? 😛 )
Weird mistakes? What are you gucking watching?!!!! Clearing pucks to the slot in our own end. Defensive break downs in our own zone. Powerplay keeps looking for the bumper from down low and its bot open so they just pass around on the outside. My god man

The boys played well tonight in the 2nd and 3rd, I wouldn’t “fire DJ” until the 20 game mark if we have a losing record

Realistically, Ottawa wasn’t going to beat Vegas, not sure when a wins coming.
This a team is way too talented to be 4-6
