Shanny has always been my second favorite player. It was always Yzerman and then Shanny for me.
I love how much he loves this team. He’s played in a few other cities, but he always talks about how Detroit means the most to him. I don’t feel like there’s a lot of other executives at his level that would make time for an alumni event like this, but you always see him coming out to this stuff. It’s chaos in Toronto right now and he’s still taking the weekend off to hang out with his bros in Detroit. Dude even laced them up for an alumni game versus the Avs while being president of the Maple Leafs. Are there any other examples of executives wearing the sweater of another team? I honestly can’t think of any but I’m sure it happens, although maybe not with this frequency.
Shanny talks in here about his first interaction with Bowman and it is amazing. He’s a goddamn treasure and I hope one day he works for Detroit again.
Exactly how I’ve heard and pictures Scotty being. Wish Shanny would come back to Detroit
