Admittedly was concerned to see us give up that lead but not every game is pretty and we still held on so that’s really all that matters standing wise. Wins a win. Points are points . I appreciated what Cassidy said after the game. Credited us for what we did right and pointed out what we did wrong and attention to detail. Definitely not Thompsons BEST game but I also wouldn’t overreact like some people are and act like it was AWFUL or something. He made some big stops where we needed him to as well. The first one was just a weird and unlucky bounce . That does happen sometimes. Yes, there’s a better way to play that probably but I don’t think he expected the bounce so was unable to adjust quickly enough to get his body in front of it. And then the other goal that leaked through him is something that happens to every goaltender in the league. Sometimes it just barely squeezes through and trickles past. I think he makes that save 9/10 times in the repeated situation. Other than those 2 I don’t think the others were his fault at all . We definitely hung him out to dry last night in a good couple situations . Fanned passes in our own zone and bad turnovers definitely haunted us last night. So yea. Stuff to improve but I’m not too concerned . 10-2-0. Tied for best record in the league and winning the west . Not much else you can hope for. GO KNIGHTS GO!
Mr Gawlik. Another great show. Fair and balanced. I particularly appreciate that you get it – the show is about entertainment, entertaining the viewer. Keep up the good work. VGK off to their best start in franchise history – 10 and 2. Funny thing about people ……. after going 10 and 2, all of the "McCrimmon's incompetent," "McCrimmon has made a mess of the salary cap," and "McCrimmon must be fired" talk has ceased. No one any longer making the claim that McCrimmon is incompetent and must be fired. Which proves that the problem here is not with Mr McCrimmon. VGK – the most successful new franchise in the history of ALL North American sports. Thank you Mr. Foley, McPhee and McCrimmon.
