You can tell where a team is by their actions. A mature, confident team skates away from that loss knowing it's 1 in 7. An immature, confident team challenges the biggest guy on the team. An immature shaken team challenges an injured player and the coach.

Reaves will drop anyone on that hurricanes roster. Domi fights a injure Lindgren and still gets dropped on the ice and DeAngelo chirps the coach. Reaves could fight both of them at the same time and still win.
I lost a little respect for Brindamour after that nonsense. It's something you expect from John Cooper or the Isles or the Caps and a few other teams. Once the game is out of reach, sending out the goons to stir things up is their calling card. It is a part of the game to "settle grudges" when there's no risk that it will affect the outcome of the game, but in this case, it's hard to even see that there were any legitimate grudges to settle. There hadn't been any obvious liberties being taken. It could work to the Canes advantage. If it appears that the Rangers are looking to get a little revenge, the refs will call things closely to keep it from getting out of hand. Better to just "stay the course" and do nothing unless the Canes start something again.
