This was one hell of a game, and what a rocket by Suter, holy hell!
Husso really stood on his head in this one. It would probably have ended in a shootout if the officiating was any good.

Can't win em all. Gonna go with they were a bit road weary. One of those games when they did get a good chance missed the net. Lots of blocks lot of just hitting the goaltender. Plus Detroit much improved. Get back in the w column Monday.

I think he said hosso made 5 or 6 saves that hosso had nothing g to do with – pearly the audio is the Detroit broadcast
The first period was even strengthen both teams goalies were playing good keeping it a scoreless game, the Red Wings were controlling the play getting more scoring chances than the Inlanders and were in the offensive zone more often than the Islanders were in their offensive zone.Then into the second period we saw the Red Wings continuing to control the play and getting more scoring chances and more shots on goal and cycling the puck and made a nifty play at the side of the net to get a power play goal and then Red Wings got another goal in the second period a short handed goal and then in the third period the Red Wings controlled the play again but the Islanders were pushing hard to take over the puck and gave up the puck and the Red Wings capitalized on a breakaway and scored a goal late in the third period and the Islander’s almost scored late in the third period. The Red Wings won their 25th Anniversary Game by a score of 3 to 0.
