Let’s go to road holy shit who made this schedule

  2. lunchbawkz

The Flames were lucky to get even 1 point tonight.

  3. Thepinkillusion

What in the actual fuck happened? This team looks completely different than the team we watched 2 weeks ago?

  4. tristan1616

I’d rather get one point than give up three to Jamie Benn

  5. Great job getting into the game, Stripes

What a shit way to lose

    Onto the road finally

  6. _darth_bacon_

    I’LL TAKE THE POINT.

    Better than zero.

  7. SupropRenkcip

Avoidable losses start to add up. These are the ones that sting by the end of the year. The boys have lots of things to tighten up.

  9. BeerLeagueSpode

Put these buggers on the road for two months straight. Maybe they’ll better appreciate things. 🤣

  10. Slimmynorthfish

Idiotic fucking penalty by Lindholm. Single handedly threw away that comeback.

  11. natenicholson

The amharic curses really have came back and bit us in the ass

    Huberdeau is really cursed

At least we battled back a bit

    Gfg

  12. SeQuenceSix

Bullshit call in OT there, no? Lindholm just ran into him and he tripped. Could feel that anger with Markstrom slamming his stick at the end.

Also, can someone explain to me wtf that shift was in the 3rd where the flames all of a sudden looked alive again??

  13. YYCAdventureSeeker

The Flames are supposed to bring joy to my life. 😤

  14. cjRuckie

Well fuck. Better effort for sure but this team needs more games in less time. I think those first 5 games really set an example but all that time between so few games has not helped. I think November and the start of a more consistent schedule will help

  15. Sylvania49

Tell me how I should feel………

  16. GrafNebelgeist

Give the Flames credit for battling back in this game to get a point. Tough spot being down another defenseman for most of the game.

Fuck the refs. Garbage call in OT. Especially after what they didn’t call in the 3rd on the Devils.

    Good point. Baby steps.

  17. TravisTouchdown_51

Terrible OT aside, I think this game was something that Markstrom and the Flames can build on. We lost Stone early on and had to battle back, if we got a bounce or call (LOL) here or there it might be a different story. Better carry this forward on the road trip.

  18. Huby was concerning all game. The turnovers were insane

  19. azndestructo

I’m actually not too rattled with tonight’s loss. NJ is fucking legit and we played with 4Ds tonight. Not sure what our D situation looks like for the next week or so but I think at least Marky is back. Fuck we need Tanev and Shilly back…

  20. CaptinDerpII

We let Marky down HARD tonight

  21. Armchair-Gm-Podcast

They got a point but that first period was so bad. Mackey…. like do we bring up maloche? I had high hopes for Mackey but after that first nhl game he played he’s been a consistent liability

  22. hesperidisabitch

    waaa waaa the refs.

We played like shit for 40+ minutes. It’s not on the refs

  23. DOITLIKEBRUTUS

This team looks lost tbh. they get the puck in their own end and panic, often turning it over as a result. So many passes off the mark or into the feet of players. So many shots attempted without creating a lane that lead to obvious blocks. Just gotta hope they work through it. The only reason this was close was because Markstrom put this team on his back.

^(fire Conner Mackey into the sun)

  24. phatman7676

We played better atleast. Glad to see Zadorov play so well, Macky on the other hand was delt a bad hand. Either way he is a pro NHL player and should be able to keep up. Took some strides in a good direction today so lets keep it going. GFG

  25. Still above 500. Not worried. Markstrom is awesome rn. Hopefully we get Tanev and Kylington back soon.

  26. b-mint94

The Preds lost was so depressing. This one I’m like “eh, they tried”

  27. Kadri91

Huberdeau needs to show up, it’s a new team and all that but he’s being paid a lot of money to put up points. He has 5 points in 10 games, last point was a goal against the pens 5 games ago.

Edit: In the 20-21 season huberdeau played with Wennberg and Hornqvist for the first half then got put on a line with Bennett when he was acquired at the trade dead line and found instant chemistry. He doesn’t need multiple years to get chemistry with his line mates or to learn a new system. He’s not playing good and he knows it, enough with the excuses I seen a lot of people criticizing toffoli for being on that first line but he has put up more points then both his line mates, any criticism of huberdeau gets downvoted lol

  28. Markstrom deserved that one, stupid penalties and only playing for half the game isnt gonna make playoffs

  29. DankBoRips

Until Darryl is worried, I’m not worried. Sucks to have a bad stretch, but not like we’re in a desperate spot. Boys’r gonna get it together, until then, let’s not stress to much. Let’s hit the road and ditch this snow storm 🔥

  30. albridgen

I know we lost but can we just stop to appreciate that zadorov hit. So good to see somebody taking the body instead of just watching the skilled players.

  31. Chad_TreintaUno

Was Backlund injured in the 3rd? He only had two shifts, and then looked like he was hurting in overtime.

  32. natenicholson

TWENTY GAME WIN STREAK COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!

  33. lickyboo

as bad as a loss is, the boys tried very hard tonight and im happy they did. I hope the road games can iron all the wrinkles we have

  34. Sadiq_Sabonis

Gaudreau must be punching the air rn not choosing Jersey

  35. xThunderstruck33x

I know we had a lot of problems tonight but wow was Huberdeau bad.

Would like to see him sit a game because his head isn’t right. He turns it over 5 times a period.

  36. GooseDevito

Not a great game overall, but considering we were without 2 regulars on D and played with 4D for over half the game, I’m impressed that it stayed competitive. I’m honestly happy that we looked so much better in the last 2 periods than in the first, but fuck we have to learn how to play a full 60. Hubby still hasn’t clicked but at least Lindholm seems to be looking a little more like himself (minus the penalty in OT). Our first line is so weird in that they seemed to make some great plays in and around the defensive and neutral zones and then they bottleneck once they cross into the opposing end. I just don’t know how, if or when that’s gonna get sorted out. Zadorov looks great so I’m sure he’ll be able to fill in the top 4 if need be, but damn we are royally fucked if we’re forced to play Mackey and whoever #9 is as a bottom pairing for a few games. As for in net, Marky really deserved a win tonight, he saved all that he possibly could, even after being hung out to dry AGAIN. I don’t know when you start to panic, but I think there should probably be a little concern after these last few games. If we’re still looking like this by the time December rolls around, I would say it might be time to make a move to fix some of the holes in the lineup, especially if Huberdeau still isn’t looking like his usual self. But again it’s only been 10 games

Also can we all agree that OT power plays should not be that fucking long if overtime is only 5 minutes. I know that maybe it would cause more penalties in OT but a single interference penalty shouldn’t suck up almost half of a period. Either adjust the rules for OT to better pair with 5mins of 3v3, or just switch it back to being a regular period of hockey. So dumb

  37. DoctorSalter

Im proud that Sutter at least shortened the bench, he did the right call
