Might be too early to say this, but the flyers started turning things around late last season: they look different: they look like they have something to prove, to themselves and to their fans! As a devoted Flyers fan of over 20 years, I'm not gonna take too much stock from this game, given that the Blues coach decided to disrespect the Flyers by starting Griess, whom I've always said is AHL trash at best. That said, Torts continues to hold the Jack Adams trophy in the palm of his hand. He's got Hayes, Farabee and Konecny, who are the leaders on the team, to buy in, and the Giroux drama is done and over with. Braun, and JVR should just be waived already. Tony D has been a quiet unbelievably underrated free agent signing. These no name Flyers are gonna come with work, grit, and grime, and if teams don't match that intensity, they might just catch an L. See y'all next game!
Blues won the cup , gave away for free their best player in Alex Pietrangelo so Vegas can win a cup by design, ,,,they also dumped entire defense from that cup team now now have guys half the size literally. How fixed is it all ? Losing Perron another dagger,,,,,Blues obviously not allowed to repeat like capitals, had to start dumping guys immediately , Bettmans rules,,,,,now u have a complete dumpster fire 🔥
Blues fan here. I'm not an overreaction type, but there have been fundamental issues with this team since the bubble, and I would love to see an aggressive retool. Taking the avs to 6 last year shows that they're a very very good team, probably top 5, but the identity issues/team play issues are not going away. Blues have real good assets that are depreciating fast, and the Doug Armstrong/front office has proven they can draft. I'd try and move ror for a late first, but the way he's playing he's probably worth a 2nd as a rental. Vladi is worth a first and a second. I'd sort the roster by age and just try and get younger. I'd keep schenn, faulk, Thomas, kyrou, buchie, Saad. Get a veteran leader or two on very cheap contracts, draft and develop, and shoot for 2026 to get back into playoff hunt.
