   What’s the point of having the most SOG if we can’t even fucking score. Such a stupid stat line. Fuck this team.

   Through the first month of the season we have a combined FOUR goals from Barkov, Reinhart and Lundell lmfao. God this team sucks so bad right now on offense that’s it’s almost unwatchable. They’re just continuously firing low percentage shots and duping us into thinking that it’s the same team as last year. Unless something changes we’re either not getting in the playoffs or getting bounced in the first round.

   Honestly, fuck Paul Maurice. So much talent being squandered on this team right now.

   Lundell and Reinhart need Luostarinen on their line to make it prime time second line.

   Nice to see White and Bennett making it work! I think Lomberg would be a good fit in that 3rd line.

   Should we trade Ekblad for another defenseman? Just asking!

   It feels inevitable that we lose games where we dominate the entire first period and don’t score.

   We had every chance to win this game – we were multiple posts and Ekblad all alone sailing it wide away from a 5-3 win. Instead, the Oilers capitalized on their chances – an braindead penalty by Ekblad and uncharacteristic turnover by Barkov is two of their goals.

   If I’m honest, Knight could’ve been better on some of those goals – the Foegele goal needed to be stopped. Skinner was good on the other end, but we didn’t really challenge him all that much and when we did it ended up in the back of their net.

   It feels like the offensive “spark” that won this franchise its first President’s Trophy is being stifled under Maurice’s system – yes our team’s defensive structure and play along the boards is much improved, but we are having major issues generating high danger chances from our cycle game.

   Flush this one and move onto the next.
