We get a ton of shots on net but we are doing a horrible job picking corners. Its almost like we just shoot it right into the glove hand or the chest. Ive been watching some highlights of other games and its not even close we dont have any snipers right now…this is why every goalie looking like a vezina winner when they play us 🤦🏽
My 2 cents. I think we dominated most of that game. I feel we play better w/o Ecky, strange. 2nd Barky fd up but it was a good backcheck. 3rd pulling the goalie works but when you can't cash in when it's 5 on 4, you won't be able to when it's 6 on 5! Less ice to use. Knight played great we shut down CM and Draisital. Tkachuk should always be in front screening the goalie. Done right it's flawless! Well get it figured out.

I think that E Staal – having been a cup winner – wouldn't have agreed to go to the AHL, or they had 'too much respect' for him to ask him. That is my guess. Big mistake to let go of Balcers. 2nd period – too many penalties, didn't show up. Agree w Stu regarding McDavid, Draisaitl coverage – good job. Carolina wallops the Oilers, we beat Carolina, Oilers beats us. Alot of sloppy, underwhelming play, not by everybody, but too much of the time.
