Absolutely massive W for sabres fans. With this as a third, the sabres will have the best 3 jersey set in the league hands down. So excited, gonna have to get afinogenov slapped on there

I’m sick of these rehash jerseys. It’s boring, they coulda made a whole new third while using the goat head. I hate how most of the NHL is in retro or nothing mode.

As a Buffalo Sabres fan I think it’s cool they wanna wear these again but it’s not a third jersey in my opinion. For me I’d like to have this be a throwback 4th jersey. Wear it a few times during the year for throwback nights and have a proper third jersey. I’d like to see a blue jersey with an old school feel, ties in the front with a new crest.
Why, for Pete's sake?! It was an ugly sweater to begin with and it took forever for Sabres fans to get the classic ones back. This design is only marginally better than the buffa-slug.

Can we please stop calling it goat head. Please. It is a bison head or rather Buffalo. And the Sabres went to 4 Eastern conference finals while wearing it. Hasek Dominated in it. Briere and Drury, Barnes, Peca, Woolley, Campbell played amazing to have it be respected. Stop with the insulting sobriquet. It deserves more.

as a sabres fan, i wish the design and logo were brought into the modern royal blue and gold look, but the 90s kid in me doesnt give a damn and will preorder one at the arena when it's announced
I would love to see this in Royal blue and gold. Black and red is not the Buffalo Sabres, fans waited and pleaded for blue and gold.

Not a Sabres fan but this jersey was my favorite from that era of the team. This was one of my first jersey's I bought back in the late 90's
When I see things like this, it makes me nervous that the Islanders are going to bring back the dreaded fisherman jersey one day.

I'm not a Sabres fan so maybe I don't grasp the importance of the colour palette, but why not keep this third design, but adapt it with the team colours of blue, yellow and white?
HOT TAKE…I don't like anything about these jerseys other than the actual goat head itself. Now if the sabres were to put the goat head on a royal blue and yellow tarp like they did for the reverse retros shoulder patch then I would buy it in a heartbeat. Imagine the jersey the sabres have now but with a recolored goat head…that would be absolutely sweet.
I like this jersey but I do miss the unfairly maligned "Buffaslug". I just wish it was a white bison rather than banana yellow one. It would have looked a lot sharper.
