Nice win by the Isles. Still some of that sloppiness creating some good chances for the Senators but Varlamov reminding us why he helped carry us inches within a cup in the 2020-2021 season. Power playing actually doing something is something great to see too there definitely has been an improvement. Still wish they would just let the puck fly a little sooner though!
Also before I make this statement obviously I don't want anybody to get hurt, and I'm glad the Ottawa player wasn't more injured, but I'm sorry where was the blood on that double minor? If the man is able to stay on the ice no problem without anybody looking at him then it shouldn't be a double minor. And then of course the refs missed a hooking call that could have cost us the game since it was at the end of the game with the empty net.
Bro if the nhl added the play in like basketball it would make things a lot more interesting. Ik they probably won’t but just an idea. Islanders probably make it in this year either way if they keep playing like this.
