That game was almost as painful and miserable as living in New Jersey

  2. godzirah

Hard not to overreact especially since how well the boys are playing; but NJ is the real deal and it showed. Boys were gassed towards the last 10 minutes of the third. Cant help but think it was due to the speed and relentless pressure from NJ. Not every game in an 82 game season is going to be perfect, but this game was good learning curve for the young guys. Turnovers against top teams = goals. Suzuki/Caufield also looked slightly off tonight, some questionable decisions with the puck but I couldn’t care less their still studs and generated some good chances. Also, please give Slaf a bump Marty, he was buzzing almost every shift tonight.

First period had me fooled. Classic New Jersey v Habs game

Devils impressed me, they’re very good. Tons of elite young talent and blistering team speed. Hopefully our team looks like that in a few years.

Devils were very strong defensively but holy hot potato game from us

Really tough night for the first line, we don’t really have much else in terms of consistent offense if teams can shut them down.

Also, credit to Jersey, their forecheck was relentless and we couldn’t manage a clean zone exit all night.

I understand that they want to boost Hoffman and Dadonov’s value for trades but Slaf has earned their spot in the roster.

At what point do we stop prioritizing pumping our trade baits’ stats over our good new rookie’s development

Honestly we got this far in the season and this was maybe the worst game? Maybe a couple others were bad too but I dunno. Doesn’t matter. Another L for the tank I guess.

Devils owned our first line tonight, we need more from other lines and quick!

  10. Normal_Future2167

Slafkovsky really needs to play more often. Everytime he was on the ice something was happening. Gally, Hoffman, Dadonov were pretty bad with the puck tonight.. And dang lots of turnovers

  11. lostdime

Who put shambles in our brains tonight?

  12. Habs_Apostle

New Jersey owned us. Their first line was particularly impressive. They have an exciting young team.

Slaf progressing nicely. I already don’t like these jerseys. Otherwise, not much to say. On to the next game!

    Go Habs Go!!!

  13. Existing-Accident-12

Can we keep slaf away from evans and pezz. I love them but they can barely do anything offensively

  14. realm_fury

We are going to need more than one line playing against teams like that. Hopefully Hughes has some tricks up his sleeve.

  15. dadoudelidou

Loved to see Tatar and Slaf exchange a few words at the end.

First line was off tonight, just as Gally seemed always semi-injured dragging himself slowly to the bench every shifts.

I think our 3rd and 4th line played the best tonight. And Ghule is so strong, i’m starting to really see him now as the real deal.

Oh well, let’s destroy CBJ thursday, i heard they lost 2 players again tonight.. it might be a perfect team to get a quick bounceback after a bad performance tonight.

  16. bless24

tough night for everyone except for slaf

  17. Sealingni

Is Xhekaj our number one defenseman? He plays alot now.

  18. markmcmlx

focus on the positive things.. like…

  19. shadopup

And the smurf curse begins…it shall wreak havoc worse than the reverse curse. It has been foretold.

  20. _easy_e

It wasn’t that we lost, it was the 1000 turnovers and poor vision by everyone in blue not named Allan.

  21. Numerous-Explorer-18

Our first line didn’t have good game, which is fine, but if that happens it’s basically impossible for us to win.

Overall we must have had like 100 turnovers and giveaways. That was hard to watch tbh.

Dadonov finally scored and after that he was awful a did some bad decisions offensively, but anyway congratulation to your first goal in Habs uniform, Dad.

Slaf was great offensively and had multiple shots, I’d like to see him higher in the lineup with Monahan. I think he’s ready for that now.

Well, we lost against one of the best teams in the league right now, we could only hope for the win.

  22. Beefiest_bison

If Armia is out for a little bit, I wouldn’t mind recalling someone from Laval and giving them a shot over Pezz. Feel like it would be a better use of icetime to try somebody who might actually have upside.

  23. howhighcanyouflyyyy

Si on veut vaincre les Devils faut qu’on patine

  24. theflower10

Time to consider dropping Gally down to the 4th line and promoting Slaf. Gally hasn’t accomplished anything all year, might as well give Slaf a shot
