I like that Ruff hasn’t been afraid to tinker with lines when the team isn’t playing optimally, and his changes have been paying off quickly the last few games.
That said, I hope he keeps the top one together. Tatar is what I’d hoped for from him last year. Nico is trending suspiciously close to superstar. And Zett, while not as naturally talented as an ideal winger might be, just works so damn hard and isn’t afraid to fight for the puck anywhere. And he loves to shoot.
So many things are going great, but the chemistry of that top line really stands out for me. They’re completely tuned into each other and it’s raising the game of all three. And it also leaves a lot of talent to mix and match with, between Jack, Bratt, Mercer, Shango and the BMW, eventually Palat, maybe Holtz? Feels like it’s not just players progressing, but slowly the whole team coming together.
This team makes me wake up happy!
Little nervous that weve only played 4 division games and lost half of them. But whatever save worrying for when we’re dead LGD
It’s incredibly fun knowing that this is not our final form.

At this point, I’ve been wondering what sending any of Holtz, Nemec, Bahl, Casey might get us in return. Not saying trade any of them, especially not now, but it’s very fun to wonder.

If you were to have told me that Palat and Blackwood would be injured and we’d still be on a 10 game streak I would have asked you what dispensary you use. This team is unreal.

Given the fact that this is looking less and less like a fluke and more like the Devils are for real—does Ruff get serious Jack Adams consideration if we make the playoffs?
Just something kind of funny to thinking about after the start this season had. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to have been wrong about something hockey-related in my life.
Fitz should also be in GM of the Year talks by the end of the season—the fact that we have Dougie, Siegenthaler, and Marino locked up long-term, and two of the best defensive prospects in the NHL still on the way is incredible to think about.
