It was a strange game. The Blues score 3 goals on their first 6 shots. Almost a 4th goal by Buchnevich off the post. Then total domination by Washington outshooting the Blues 51-24. The overtime was very exciting by both teams. An odd stat after the game given by Blues announcer Joe Vitlae was going back to 1971 when the Blues have been outshot by over 25 shots they are now 8-0.
The Blues should have had this game in regulation but they relaxed in the third period and put everything on the great goaltending from Thomas Greiss. They’re lucky he was able to keep up to get the OT win 🥇. The new jersey colors look a lot like the national team from Sweden’s colors but they look cool 😎.
