   This might be my first time really seeing the whole ALS process play out. I don’t know anyone with this or people who know anyone with it.

   Borje announced he was diagnosed in the summer. In September he lost ability to speak. Last weekend we celebrated him and many of us thought this was our last time ever seeing Borje. I think many of us also expected a memorial type tribute before the season ended.

   This makes it seem like he might not even see Christmas. Holy shit is that sad.

   I’m so happy that both the franchise and the Salming family made last weekend happen.

   If he’s going out soon, it’s phenomenal that he got such a huge ovation and all that love on his way out.
