Wow
Torts and deangelo are gonna be best friends
Nice vid pin this comment
Considering Ellis NEVER PLAYS good pickup
DeAngelo is gonna punch someone in Philly now!
I have a feeling this will be Tortz last coaching job lol
THE NEW FLYERS
As a Canes fan, this sucks. Tony was a welcome addition and I can only hope Don turns this into something big.
Another dumb trade ,fletcher is continuing the dumpster fire, 100 years without a cup
This trade is a mess
Only people with soft feelings think this is bad for the Flyers. If you haven’t noticed….he’s a hell of a player.
Flyers fans quit going to games, it’s your only hope for change.
Don Waddell better have some bigger moves planned, because as is. This isn't great at all… some okay draft picks, but the 2nd rounder isn't for another 2 years. Carolina is in "win now" mode…. not "win in 2-4 years" mode. Deangelo added some much needed offensive prowess to Carolina's defense.
Lets go flyers
Good move for the Flyers. They are dumping the lightweights like Phillipe Myers, and Nolan Patrick, and bringing in a Tough coach, and DeAngelo can score, and he isn't afraid to talk smack on the opposition. This reminds me of the good ole days of the "Broad Street Bullies" Get tough all around, and draft 6 footers, not a pee wee cry baby like Nolan Patrick.
I think the Flyers will get back Geroux late in the season to make a run for the Cup. I am excited for the entire Flyers organization, and looking forward to seeing Bobby Clarke, and Bob Kelly coming out to the Wells Fargo Center to celebrate. I say Go old school, or don't go to school. Tickets will be hard to get next spring, and I am hitting the 60-1 odds for the Stanley Cup hard. Fan Duel , DraftKings, or Sugarloaf, I will be picking up plenty of cash on the Flyers. I have a pickup truck now, so I come prepared. Looking forward to Lauren Hart again too, the #1 singer in the NHL. I think the Flyers may try to get Evander Kane to give Philly that extra punch come playoff time.
I hate this org.
So we gave up a 2nd round pick last year for the coyotes to take ghost off our hands who was making 4.5 a year. Now we give up 3 picks for the same type of player and pay him 5mil a year?!?
Wtf is this organization doing?
Absolute W for the Flyers! Adding a young 26 year old right shot D Man in his prime coming off +30 10 goal 56 point season is a major upgrade to the D corps!
Chuck has lost his marbles….Torts and DeAngelo? Giving away more draft capital, including another incredibly valuable second round pick. One would have thought he had learned his lesson when he traded Ghost and this year's second round pick and got nothing in return except freeing up cap space and Ghost went on to score 51 points for Arizona. By all accounts Ghost has always been a good teammate, unlike DeAngelo. We know Arizona is delighted with that trade and I'm sure Carolina is equally thrilled with getting rid of DeAngelo and netting three draft picks, which should be very early in each of the rounds acquired given how badly Chuck is at his job.
He will thrive under torts he’s a young kid whos learning from his mistakes we’ve been all there young and full of vinegar give him a chance
Flyers don't even need a GM. Pick a name out of the hat, and you got a winner. If the Flyers don't make the playoffs next season, then not only will Fletcher get fired, but Flyers won't pay him, and he will end up over in Kesington with the Crackheads, and Dykstra's.
I’m a Sabres fan, but like the Flyers.
I don’t think this was a great move. I could be wrong, he is certainly a good offensive player. But for a team looking to build with a different culture from years past, picking up a guy like this may not be a great move. Maybe Tortorella will get something out of him, maybe they make an even bigger clash. Good luck, Flyers!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
