Forget about the Kallgren gaffe….the OT puck handling was an abomination.. the careless no look passes and ffs cautious possession. All that white ice, take your damn time
This loss is 100% on Kallgren. If he simply just stays in his net this is a 2-1 win. However, that doesn't excuse the most pathetic OT performance I've ever seen. Honestly, do these guys not know that you're suppose to keep possession in OT? Nylander cant make a simple pass, Marner being too cute with no look passes to nobody. At this point I would start Kampf in OT. Atleast I trust Kamp to not constantly giveaway the puck. When in OT just keep it simple dummies.
Honestly played a good game. If Kallgren stayed in his net we would've won. Practice 3 on 3 see what works. Because apparently it doesn't matter who's on the ice on ot so Practice and see who works well. We still played really well so keep that momentum up on Wednesday.

our 5v5 play is good (although our production isnt that great) or PP is amazing, our PK is good. 3-on-3 isnt in the playoffs so as long as we get to playoffs we should be in good shape.

3 minutes remaining in 3rd period in a close, tight & defensively controlled game up 2-1…he comes out of his net, turnover the puck, fails to get back into position quickly and concedes the tying goal…..Leafs then lose it OT

OT is just a coaching issue. Players in general looked pretty good. Just a goalie puck handling mishap at game end forced it to go into overtime – then Leaf OT tactics 3 on 3 ended the chance for 2 points. Mitch Marner really could benefit from what is called – Risk Management Communication Skills. He gets interviewed a lot – if he had really good media coaching – he likely could just improve with better communication skills. Most people always just want to improve those skills when possible. For a loss Leafs were not too bad.
Here's what I would ask:
Nostrils, you seemed incapable to accept two simple passes from Nylander in OT….my question is "How is this going to be Marner's fault?"
There was like 3 Dang-its in that OT and that's not counting the super dang-it by Kallgren with 3 minutes to go. TEND THE GOAL!!! There I feel better now.

Why is this team not prepared to play overtime? Do we honestly expect that suddenly playing it 5 on 5 when the playoffs start will work to our advantage, if we cannot take advantage of 3 on 3 in the regular season?
