As a Blues fan I think Parayko would do the Sens more harm than good if they traded for him. Dude looks like an AHL level defender right now.

Zaitsev has been put on waivers today, so that is a start. I do not think Smith should be canned as I am not sure who insisted that Zaitsev and his $4.5 million contract played. I think Smith should be given this season to see what he can do, and if it is another failure then can him.

Every loss has been by one goal, so this isn't a carbon copy of last year. They need Zub back and another Dman, but they'll be fine overall, but Smith will be gone in 5 more games unless they turn it around.
I don't think this kid has watched the games. Smith needs to go, but to say they aren't competing or are "worse in ways" than last year is a bad take. All the losses have been by one goal, that definitely wasn't the case last year
Forsberg hasn't been amazing but he's been solid. The goals against are from atrocious defensive breakdowns that I would not expect anyone to save

The thing I hate about Dj smith is that he shuffles the lines almost every period there is no consistency within our lineups and the guys can’t get chemistry together as a senators fan I’d love a new coach but still don’t think we completely turn it around until we get better defence
You keep thinking Habs are bad there too 9 are one of the best in the league. there D are holding up. Said it before and I’ll say it again they will be in the hunt for a playoff spot. Won’t be in the bottom 5 for sure
Besides in the standings, how much different is this team than Toronto? Top end talent… all forwards. This team really needs Chabot to figure it out and be 'that guy' and he just isn't. This PP should be at 30% with that talent. Missing Norris doesn't help, but yeah, this dude is going to be fired within 2-3 weeks (or less) Dorion has to have a scapegoat and not like it's his first year.

There’s no way that Columbus would trade Peake. They have the same problem that Ottawa has—serious problems on the blue line, goalies not able to constantly bail their D out, serious injury issues, etc. If Peake could help Ottawa solve their blueline issues, then he’d also be key to Columbus solving their blueline issues.
If I was in their front office, I would be asking Arizona about Moser rather than Chychrun.
