    Gio burnt out by Christmas – too many minutes expected from a valued senior citizen. Goaltending will be an issue all year with these 2 goalies – playoffs definitely at risk. Sorry to break the news, but Dubas' house of cards is crumbling. Humpty Dumpty has fallen off the wall and has left the house. Goodnight Leaf fans – see you in next year's playoffs.

    All the injuries for defense and goaltending…. Wow. Tough position to be in. Opportunity is there for players to show they deserve to move up in the lineup though.

    If Murray performs as well as he has been doing they will be above .500 til Reilly and Brodie return. After they're back they will be a top 5 team again.

    Malgin's turnovers at the O zone blue-line and through the neutral zone with everyone going the other way cost him his spot. I mentioned in the chat that those turnovers have been seeping into his game

    Good review. Sandin and Lilegren are young guys, especially for defencemen, at 22 and 23 respectively. Sandin shows tons of potential offensively and if he is given the ice time needed to mature and learn from his mistakes (-3 ) he will get stronger as the season goes on and be ready come playoff time. Liligren has been solid (+3 and 3 pts after only 9 games) and like Sandin will mature as the season progresses. Lots to ask of the young guys with the missing vets but…fingers crossed.
