Not that bothered by the Brodie and Rielly injuries because they are not overly serious and it forces them to play Sandin and Liljegren more they’ve been developing these guys for 4-5 years now I really don’t want to see either of them get traded at any point I want them both to be on the team for the long term, I would put Nicholas Robertson and Matthew Knies in that category too fuck trading any of these guys

I had actually thought about Timmins as a possible solution on the right. When he's healthy he's been great, and he's not that old
Loved the "knowledgeable" component of Leaf fan-dom that had Tavares assessed as "done" after last year. They all ignored his observation that, as a result of his knee injury & concussion vs Montreal, that he'd been unable to do full volume training that summer until August. He said that was a 2 month delay to his normal off-season routine & he felt like he played catch-up all season. Despite that, he was basically a point-a-game guy yet again. So far, this season he doesn't look "done" to me. The bigger question is why Matthews shooting % is so far below his career #. Narrowly missing a lot of in close looks . Weird. It won't last much longer.
With Rielly now out…..Can we now go get Dumba??? Timmins would be ok depth seeing as we don't have much on Marlies, so probly does not cost alot….but have to worry about his injury issues and how often he has then.
The team will play well enough without Rielly to stay near the top of the league. The problem is we are not good enough woth him to win a round.

Consider this, when you have a strong defence, you start off knowing that you are only going to give up 1-2 goals but if you have great forwards and a bad d, you expect goals but the pressure is on the forwards to score 3+ goals a night.
