We finally get to see Jarnkrok on the top 6. Dubas and Keefe both alluded to it in the pre season that he may slot in there.
Hopefully his effort can create some chances, and I dont mind him taking shots at all.

Not surprised about Robertson, he had that horrific giveaway towards the end of the game

Seeing Sammy there gives me some smile.

Hopefully Simmonds stays in so Reaves doesn’t go full commando showoff tough guy for his new team.

Personally, sad to see Robertson out of the lineup. I feel like he brings such significant effort night in and night out that it makes all the players around him try that much harder. Still needs a bit of development but I think he already makes up with it in team effort.

Okay, but why keep Malgin out for Simmonds?

Isn’t this lack of D depth the perfect opportunity to have Robertson in his rightful place on defense?

I don’t know if I’m just a Malgin fanboy but him being scratched is ridiculous. I guess if they want to fully rely on only scoring from the top six.

What does The Vall need to do to get benched a game? I feel like he’d have a slot in the lineup if he took a run at keefes old lady, buddy has a huge leash for some reason

Wasn’t Simmonds on waivers? Lol so confused

I recently took a look at the 2017 draft to see how other players were making out. Outside of the top 15 in the first round most players taken to the rest of the first round, and all of the second round, are all in the AHL, NCAA or in Europe. The only players taken in the second round in the NHL, are Pinto in Ottawa and Höglander in Vancouver. It seems to me that Robertson not playing a whole lot in the NHL shouldn’t be a surprise. The only question I have is to have him sitting in the stands when he could maybe get a little bit of ice with the Marlies. All of the other guys taken in the first two rounds are playing full-time somewhere.
