  1. Horvat is wildly inconsistent production wise over his career yet we'd be paying for his current season. Karlsson would bankrupt this team, and at 32, his contract would have him being paid while he's in a wheelchair. Also, no one cares what the weather is where you are. If you REALLY care about the Wings, take a look at Mo Seider's body positioning on the plays a goal is scored against him. Notice any TRENDS in his skating, body position and movement of his energy? The man locks his knees in the D zone and it impinges on lateral movement and denies him the leverage needed to move forwards away from rebounds. He's also tending to crowd his goalie a bit. I THINK he may be nursing a nagging thigh or groin pull.

  2. If ur from Detroit you would have to know Larkin won't be goin anywhere. Horvat Larkin 1 and 2 though?? There's more expensive Pairs than that in the league I imagine. Great show guys 😎

  3. Adding Horvat is a very outside possibility (chances are less than 1%) meanwhile talk of Karlsson was a complete/total waste of breath.

What I am wondering is it already too late to get ANYTHING of value for Bertuzzi. The one mistake Yzerman definitely made was not trading Bertuzzi after his fluke season. With the arrival of Berggren and when Vrana returns, Bertuzzi will be nothing more than a 4th liner or possibly a healthy scratch who will get a 7th rounder tops

  4. I think the Wings could sustain their start…but it depends on what Fabbri looks like when he comes back, and IF Vrana comes back. Vrana could be the X factor in terms of if the Wings make the Playoffs or not.

  5. Moritz Seider isn't used to playing with a competent d partner. Maybe we should put Mo on a pairing all by himself. He'll probably win the Norris.

  6. It's very funny that so many people are talking about a trade around EK65. What no one has mentioned so far is his NMC and which teams he might consider lifting it for. According to Erik himself, he is enjoying himself in the Sharks and from what we can see from his start this season, it is also an positive effect on the ice.

EK65 is not a player for RW, his cap and age are not what we need. There are many others who fit into the team if we only look at the age range of 24-27 year olds who could conceivably become free at TD or off season for us.

Horvat is an interesting player partly because he is C and UFA where his current cap hit is reasonable @5.5/Mil and are 27.
RW has 4.8/Mil cap space at the moment and Pius (26- Year) will be a UFA next year and has a cap today of 3.2/Mil which would suit Vancouver as they have 1.6/Mil cap left now. A deal can be 1by1 swap for Pius or become Pius + Zedina or any Bert combo with picks and so on. I know Bert will be missed by many of us fans, however I have said that Bert and Larking will not be part of the team that lifts the Cup in a few years time.

What Stephen manages to do with Lark's contract will affect how Bert fits in that time frame. Bert has high value, for any of the top 6 teams who will play for the Cup this year. Let's be honest, RW won't be one of the 6 teams this year and am ok with that as long as we play over all better then last year. Our time is coming in a few years time and here uor deept in the pipes will be future core key.
