The only way I can see this being a no penalty call was if none of the refs saw it. Seems unlikely that every ref missed the high stick but that’s such an easy call.

This would set a dangerous precedent for the league. The last thing we need is players flopping to get penalties like those pathetic excuse for athletes we call professional soccer players

Officially, the linesman was the one who saw the high stick and could make the call. However, linesmen can’t call minor penalties. One of the dumbest technicalities I’ve seen today

Jesperi Kotkaniemi would like to call bullshit.

So when did the NHL eliminate high sticking?

  6. Immo406

Well, it makes sense if you use a comma instead of an equals sign…

What does the Dallas owner have on all refs? If you look at the refs eyes closely you can see he’s blinking in Morse code « They have my family. »

No injury, no penalty. They missed the high stick, but saw the player down, called the play dead to check on potential injury. Then realized he was ok so no injury, no penalty.

Do the refs even know the rules?

this ref gonna get his thick ass sat down a few times this season, these guys will remember.

Umm, high sticking to the face should still get a 2 min minor… No blood leaves it that way but it’s still a damn penalty.

Players just need to stack slap shotting pucks at the refs and tell said ref to skate it off and just say it was an accident.
