I was at that game, they gave away commemorative pucks noting the first ever Sharks game. I think I still have mine somewhere. I burst out laughing when California Coxe scored the Sharks first ever goal.

i know Craig Cox, used to work at my rink in Petoskey, MI, have a signed card that i asked him in person to sign. Moved 45 minutes to another rink. I played for that team for 1 year after i had issues with the coaches on my previous team. Our coach for my new team often didn’t show up so we had to have one of the kids uncles coach us. The head coach went to prison for fraud in the middle of the season. Craig would come out help us practice or we just did a pick up game if he was busy.
Did they have to put their own numbers on their helmets??? Was that how low budget they were back then???
