The Oilers start games with all the ferocity of a shy kid on his first day at a new school. Then they go into their Keystone Cops routine, running around and fumbling the puck in the defensive zone. … I am very happy about what the Oilers did in the third period – and about what Bouchard and Holloway were able to accomplish “offensively,” but seriously, that is 1 period of hockey. When the Oilers show that they can play well for (multiple) entire hockey games, then they will be taken seriously as a dangerous playoff team. … Also, Draisaitl’s faceoff percentage today implies that there is something not 100% with him. And Jack Campbell is still not playing like a confident, confidence-giving goalie.
Nice comeback.. I guess. The Fog has been good for the last 4-5 games. Congrats to Holloway, Maybe that gets him rolling to. JP played excellent, didn't score but did a ton of good things. No doubt the fans will want to run him out of town though right? Why does Barry, who knows how slow he is, consistently get caught in a blue line turnover while trying to keep the puck in when he can't possibly catch anyone when the puck gets behind him.. Defense First Tyson. For a desperate team, they sure have a great habit and way of making it as hard as possible. Whats with Dria.. 2 turnovers and 4 bobbles for every shot on net he takes. They better have a fabulous December (Something they haven't had in at least many years) or they are still in tons of trouble as far as making playoffs.
In football, that kind of non-contact injury is almost always season ending as either a knee or achilles. Hopefully Foegle just toe picked or the like and tweaked something rather than tore, and it was precautionary reasons that kept him out rather than an injury. It didn't look good though.

It's an early Christmas miracle. Great comeback, and so happy for Holloway and Bouchard to get off the 'schneid' as the saying goes. Hopefully this gets both of those guys and the entire team going.

Man oh man I sure want pulujarvi to start hitting! I watched him skate right by perfect checking opportunities too many times! He has a big frame and he needs to use it!! No one is worried when he's on the ice but they could be; he plays like it's a Saturday afternoon game with the dads!
Lol I love how David keeps saying "in the playoffs" like its a sure thing. This team has a lot of work to do and a lot of improvement to even make it. I wouldnt be surprised if they missed at this point.
…the team won this in spite of another sub-900 goals against performance by Campbell. To me the jury is still very much out on Jack. …an actual 5 goals against on 23 shots will not inspire confidence from anyone around him.

Oilers are basically a middle of the road team. Their star players don’t seem to be scoring and there are too many forwards doing little to earn their keep. Poor team defensive play can only lead to missing the playoffs. Their defensemen are less than average and
goaltending is not great. Very disappointed in this team.
