To be honest… As long as C.Wood is not the great defender, we have to play him alongside a mobile Big that can Block shots and 2 wingdefender which can defend little guys.

I don’t think the mavs are making a trade. one reason is what are the msg waiting for. If you’re going to make a major trade they would’ve done it by now. Maybe they’ll trade for role player but nothing too big. It’s all in the coaching this season on how much we will improve

It's gonna be a vet minimum contract, and if he can give you 12-15 mins a game at similar production as his last season with the Knicks… it will be worth for sure. With that being said, if he's still good enough to play in the NBA, why didn't any other team sign him already. Guess we'll see.
If kemba can give us a solid 15-20 minutes off the bench with 8-10 points, it’s a win for me. He’s never been a defensive guy so if he can still score at a decent rate I’ll take it.
It is absolutely imperative we do not go too fast. If a championship is really our goal take it easy. Give our rookies a chance to grow, really locate our needs , make sure you get the best person or persons. DO NOT GO TOO FAST

Just tossing ideas around. Is there a world where we trade Christian Wood and McGee for Myles Turner? That should ACTUALLY fix the rim protection issue, and takes away all of the noise. Then I still like the Terry Rozier idea that the pastor recommends too for a third ball handler. Still not in panic mode, but I’m getting close. I think the kemba is a low risk high reward signing. Our biggest problem is ball handler and no rim protection at all. Same as last year.

The Mavs have to many guys who's entire offensive game is standing behind the 3 point line. When you also don't run that makes most possessions a grind for Luka and Spencer. Kemba's game fits whats needed here IF he has anything left. When the offensive goes stagnant they should call some plays to push the ball for a quick shot or maybe call some backdoor stuff to grab a cheap basket or two. That can take some pressure off Luka and Spencer and be the difference in these close games. Just my 2 cents.
