Je suis nouveau et j’ai l’impression que c’est une question stupide, mais est-il possible que les points ne soient pas dans le bon ordre ?

Different divisions and conferences. The points are all in order but NJD aren’t in the Atlantic

The standings always reflect the points category, though a difference in games played may have you considering how one team may be ahead of another by the time they play that number of games.

A good point to remember for clarity on the standings, the top 3 teams in each of the 4 divisions go to the playoffs automatically no matter their points.

After that, both divisions in the eastern and western conference are merged with the remaining teams, the 2 teams with the most pts are the wild card teams that finish up the playoff bracket.

Wild card teams can be from the same division or split. In theory, a single division could have 5 of 8 teams make the playoffs.

In the west this year, expect the wild card teams to have not nearly as many points as the wild card teams from the east.

Based on Point % since some teams have played less games
